Thank God tea comes in a wee sachet and the only thing I have difficulty with is buying 250ml of 2% just before pitching my tent. :D Caroline looked at some silicone filter holders at the dollar store similar to this ... Then she saw this and said "I can use regular filters and a chopstick!"

Speaking of tea and coffee, this past winter I ordered a couple of Titanium 750ml mugs from AliExpress as they were $25 each with free shipping, and that lead me to wonder how I could get a stove that would fit inside them with an absolute minimum of moving parts and replenishables... Enter...

There is a Canadian YouTuber, Mark Young in Nova Scotia that really appreciates a good cup of coffee. Coffee in the Woods - YouTube He really likes his AreoPress: On one episode he even roasted his own beans! Thankfully I'm a cuppa tea man, myself. :)

French River is a beatiful. Was it the wee lighthouse shown on Google as "New London Range Rear Lighthouse" or the one in French River itself? It hasn't changed too much. There is a rain in the forecast possibly changing to light snow tonight, and the roads are potholed something fierce this...

https://rottenxxxronnie.blogspot.com/2018/11/stoveaholic-yes-i-have-problem.html Ummm... Yeah. I was playing around with the butane gas and alcohol stove this year, but my absolute favorite is at the bottom of the page, my SVEA123R. It nests in the two pots that double as a tea mug and cook...

Thanks. My riding buddy Suzi, of over seven years. She made every camp site fun, and was a great ice breaker for me. https://rottenxxxronnie.blogspot.com/p/gone-to-dogs.html

I love your knife, much more reliable than a KA-BAR. I broke the hilt of two of those back in the day, but it would take a nice edge, much better than any of the 440C you find coming from Asia. ;)

Any of the side roads that parallel the 219 after Springville NY are fun. If you avoid Oleans by skirting it to the east, then aim for 44 and 144 into Renovo PA then head up and over the mountain to Snowflake (or similar) you will thank me. Leave extra early as it will get cooler with the...

As far as refilling the 'disposable' 1lb propane tanks, the points you raised are precisely why the general sheeple shouldn't refill them. @jeff96 That is a nifty little setup. A BRS knockoff I imagine? Do you have to change jets between fuel and how long have you been using it? Gasoline is...

eBay sells adapters to refill those tanks from the standard 10 or 20lb tanks, as well as propane to Lindal valve adapters so you can use them with the butane/propane camping stoves. While they can be refilled, there is a bit of science to it and uncommon sense to fill to only 80% of maximum...

Well done! I tested my new fleaBay DPower stove with butane adapter. I was nicely impressed with how easy it was to use, and the stability of the model. I spent a night on some Crown land on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia last night, and met this car camper, Trevor, and we had a blast...

    Goodbye KLR, welcome Husky!

Hahaha! I wheelies my KLR too often and the connectors behind the dash separated opening up all those safeties and left me on the roadside. Good call, check the safety interlocks.

Let me know when you find out. That sucks heartily this close to the end of the season. You could always fix it then stud some old tires... :). My brother did it with his KLR and a box of machine screws.
