    Ninja 650R & ER6N Thread

Didn't really get any highway time on the bike, it was all lower speed twisties. Guessing it would suck wind protection wise compared to a 650R though. Bike capable of some longer distance runs vs. cool city bike with streetfighter looks. Depends on your intended usage.

    Ninja 650R & ER6N Thread

When I was in northern Thailand, I rented a CBR250 for a day and took an ER6 for a 700km, 4 day trip through the mountains (totally recommend this trip, best motorcycling of my life). The ER6 felt ridiculously good after the CBR250 (my ride at home was an EX500 at the time). The power...

Motorbike helmet with built-in navigation system, nned your feedback

+1 on that! The projector in the video looks huge! Once that's imbedded in the helmet, you still need room for crash protection, this things gonna be a beachball!

KMs: How much is too much?

So I learned this lesson the hard way. I got an 05 636 for what I thought was ~$1000 below what most were looking for. The bike has 25k on it, one of the few I found with stock stuff, stock exhaust, fairly nice looking. Well...picked it up in December, rode it home gingerly (3-4C, cold road...

New rider buying a bike but unsure how to transport it to get certified

Here's how I did my first bike. This assumes the bike is ridable and was previously ok (only missing safety paperwork). 1. See if the owner can sell it to you on a saturday morning 2. Get the VIN for the bike after agreeing on the deal and call insurance - they can send you paperwork/email...

I saw you ( speed trap version)

Not so sure it's illegal... http://www.wheels.ca/warning-of-speed-traps-perfectly-legal/ Having automatic flashing lights (like emergency vehicles have built into their headlamps) is illegal.

4 bikes run from OPP on county road 10 Alliston

They have big HP numbers, but they're also over 4000lbs!! For comparison, 1/4 mile times as quoted from the websites below: SHO: 13.8 @102mph Slowest 2011 600 from the test, sorry Honda peeps :-) - 10.98 @ 128.8 Won't loose em as quickly, but a SHO still stands no chance against a 600...but...

    Guys with shoei helmets

I bought a Qwest, pretty happy with it but thats because it fits my head really well. I used to have a Bell Vortex, I think the aero on that was better, and so were the vents. It was just too small for me and the next size up was too loose. My personal criteria for a helmet is SNELL rating and...

    The Weather Channel and Riding

Weather Network app on my iphone, only trust the radar map. Unfortunately, that means you can only plan about 4hrs out, anything after that is a coin flip.

    Please Explain To Me!

I had a guy on a Harley get weird with me like this in stop and go traffic on the 401. Suddenly, we had "2 motorcycle lanes" going within the single right lane I was riding block position in. As traffic would slow, he would get next to me, then occasionally speed up/drop back. My space felt...

Irony of Toronto Parking - CBR 125 vs Burgman 650

Theres a giant 500cc scooter that parks on Temperance St all the time, sidewalk + no ticket. And this is a heavily ticketed area! Seems to be a weird arbitrary rule. But maybe we're better off not complaining, incase bikes suddenly stop being free to park at all!
