I make no apologies, and have no excuses. In the context of this thread, what i've 'preached' is revelant and appropriate. If i didn't truthfully disclose that i too have sinned in the past, then you'd be the first to point out that i'm a hypocrite of the worst type - and i would agree with...
Comparatively speaking.. if the average car is 'flying' like a Cessna, then the motorcyclist in this case is 'flying' like a P51 Mustang. That's a more accurate statement of the absurd, if you wish to accuse me of making them.
How many years you been riding, 'buddy'?
All of the points i...
I wasn't aware that being a SS rider on a machine capable of 220 km/hr++ speeds imparted the average Mark I human being with Super-Human reaction and observation skills, and also gave you pre-cognitive powers of prediction at velocities of 50 meters/sec+. Pre-cognitive powers of when and where a...
I haven't been able to track this photo down further, to confirm on that forum. Note that on the right hand side of the bike, is a sidecar, meaning that this tire is being used for the correct (non-cornering) application. He's got it at least 50% right. However, if he's still using a motorcycle...
Not to quibble.. but Dangerous driving is a criminal offence.. 172 is not. Though it basically criminalizes you with a guilty until proven innocent situation, in the eyes of the court and insurance before an actual trial..
I don't like 172 either - it's an un-necessary legislation that was...
It's a matter of degrees, don't you agree?
The stunt-driving legislation is about excessive speeding, way beyond what would be considered a reasonable, garden variety 'oopsie' of even 20-30 km/h.
A lot of people are guilty of that level of transgression, myself included.
97 over? Not so...
I ain't a cop.. but..
You've got potentially 3 equipment violation charges coming at you. I don't see rear view mirrors on it in your avatar photo, but it's too small to really tell.
You need fenders on front AND rear to be compliant.
*EDIT* and where's your turn signals?? .. and straight...
Besides the track legality issue, it seems to me that it would be counter-productive to run police type strobes on the track. It would be logical that many track riders are doing off-road only these days because of legal implications, actual or potential, of riding fast on public road ways...
Careless driving is an HTA charge with potentially heavy financial penalties and insurance implications.
Dangerous driving is a Criminal code charge with potentially heavy financial penalties and insurance and criminal record implications.
A 172 charge is just plain bad news, without criminal...

Dangerous driving AND 172'd... just how stupid (his words) was he riding to achieve that?
I think you'll find CDN cold weather, and your cold weather is a little different. Sure, you get cold in the mountains, but do you get sustained bitter cold? If you plan on riding through the winter - Electric gloves or hand-grips/vest/insulated pants and boots are pretty much necessary...
My viewpoint is that the situation deals with someone who has backed up without making sure the way is clear, and hit with enough force to nail an object pretty badly. What if that object was a person, a kid, a slow moving senior?
The issue goes beyond just physical damages to a motorcycle -...
US legal statute, no?
Please tell me that our legal system hasn't totally devolved to the US style of "sue 'em, if they got me" and reverse onus.
Saudi style justice for theft and other property crimes keeps looking better all the time.
