i bought mine locally... the hassle of ordering tires and taking them somewhere to have them installed/balanced on the bike wasn't worth the $70 savings to me... ordered them, dropped my bike off and got a phone call 2 days later saying i could pick it up...

From a sellers point of view: Why would I spend $500 on new tires, when regardless of the price, everyone will offer me less and will it bring the price of the bike up for what i paid for the tires? probably not... you still have the option to buy another bike....

Katana 600... I'm 6'6 and heavier then you.... While it's no rocket, it's comfortable to ride and has some umph! like everything there is no such thing as too much power... It's a sport touring bike, so insurance will be better then on a 600 SS
