    Everyone's Favourite Subject Leather Suits!

Both good suits and if they fit great but I think the cost is greater then then any extra value. If the price is dropping then for sure. Taichi has been known to grow their cows inside to prevent damage to the hides. But,,,,,,?

    Everyone's Favourite Subject Leather Suits!

The supply of kanagroo can not keep up with the demand. So inconsistency is huge. Cow is grown around the world in a captive life style. Kangaroo is wild and hunted. So any and all of Kangaroo hide is used. Cow is cheaper and easier to cut around the imperfections. What is the actual weight...

    Everyone's Favourite Subject Leather Suits!

Oh I have been wined and dinned but there is no gains for me personally if I was to release my data. The good companies would not thank me and the poor companies would hate my guts. No magazine will pay for the article. They just want it so they can let me step in front of the firing squad. I...

    Everyone's Favourite Subject Leather Suits!

Hmm,, been fixing these suits for 25 years now. Was throwing myself down the road as well. I have worn junk and some really good stuff. I actually see what does not work. Then I have to try to figure how to fix it and make it better then factory. I have recorded damages to suits. So data...

    Everyone's Favourite Subject Leather Suits!

Well,, I would stay away from the two zipper suits. Seems like they all fail in the zipper part on the bib. People leave them on and the bib part hanging,,busts the zipper teeth and ,,well,,then what do you do. A suit "HAS" to fit snug. If you have the shoulders too big you risk the armour...

    track noob questions

So repairing and altering suits for 25 years and you want me to explain this? I can ,,, Custom suits are made for people that need a custom build. They can be 1 piece and two piece,,track or street,,track day or racer. 80% of the reason a suit works or doesn't is fit. So a unique build needs a...

    track noob questions

What suit do I buy? That is near impossible to answer,,,,,FOR ME. So put it on, get on a bike and it should be snug and not painful. Armour sucks in most suits so buy some aftermarket good stuff and swap it out. Think of suit armour like a stock pipe,,,change it out. Do not listen to the...

    track noob questions

When you are riding MX your head is in line with your body/spine. When you are behind the windscreen on a road bike you head/neck are in a hyper-extended position. So it is very difficult to use.

    Ram 1500 Eco Diesel Review

Once you get to about 8-10 K it will make a big change. The best I could get HWY up to then was 8.1L/100. After 15,000Km's I did see 6L/100 on the Hwy. [To qualify,,heavy tail wind and no hills] ON the Hwy now [22,000Km] I get average 7-8 L/100. Just city I get 9's and city Hwy I average high...

    race leathers in "tall" sizes

Honestly,, it should not stretch. The fabric they add,, "if" it is good Kyprotec, does not stretch. The none leather places on a suit started to help the fit and stabilize the costs. Leather is bought by the hide and Kyprotec ,by the yard. So the more Kyprotec the lower or more stable the cost...

    race leathers in "tall" sizes

Typically when someone says "Tall" they mean ,for example a NA 48 /Euro 58 off the rack is too short. So they have a stretched torso or legs. So if you are 6'4" and a normal build you can find sizes. Dainese,Spyke fit taller and slim. Taichi and Spidi fit tall and slim as well. Should you have a...

    race leathers in "tall" sizes

NO,,. You will not find a tall size suit. Just doesn't happen,,,Pilot, for custom is about the best option. Have never seen a mfg'er that makes ,,, say a size 48/58 in "tall",,, and that's in 35+ years. Good luck.

Advice to overcome new suit hurting me

Any under gear will help,, but will most likely just delay the issue. As you build up moisture in the suit it grabs even more. regardless of undergear. You can ntry finding something that you can wedge into the knee,,some kind of ball or something. Then wet the knee area and let it dry. Water...

Advice to overcome new suit hurting me

Adding padding might just make things worse. You are allready in need of more space, the padding will reduce that. It will push the armour down more.

Advice to overcome new suit hurting me

Sounds like the distance from your center line of the knee to the ankle is too short.By putting the suit in the boot it pulls down the armour into the knee. Pending the suit design you can not remove some Dainese lower leg armour. Considering how much synthetic is in a suit these days,, don't...

Have you guys got your track bikes inspected by cops?

In the later 80"s there was a racer who apparently had a brother in the RCMP,, so there was a pile of crap over bikes and it was all somewhat traced back to this individual. It was thought he was trying to reduce his competition. Steve Gervais had issues with his RG 500 that was brought in by...

What back protectors are you guys using?

Yes, there are several makes, not just this one,, that are one time use only. So if the honeycomb was damaged it would be not capable of the same protection again. The ones that have the harder rubber honeycomb are reusable as the rubber retains it's shape. Now that looks like aluminum...
