    Creemore Video

If you guys are in ODSC or SCORRA there's also a DS ride going on in Simcoe this Saturday (Last Blast). Details are on both forums.

It's a fun place to ride. I recognized where you were just from the video preview :) Lots of ATV's going up and down that hill last time I was there.

CBR250R Oil Change w/ Part Numbers & Torque Settings Video

Very nice. It's the exact same parts and procedure on a CRF250L, minus the lower fairing bit. The only thing I do different is pop the filter into the engine and use some grease to keep the spring against the filter before putting the cap back on. Also, the local Honda dealer told me the...

    H2R at Shannonville

Is it normal to be in one gear around the whole track or that is a byproduct of the insane power the bike has? I think I saw him go into 4th once.

    Rear stand for KLR650?

For doing chain work on my KLR, I used a plastic container (milkbone) under the swingarm. You can probably find something similar height. Otherwise I used the Canadian tire bike lift. Works great for the KLR if you have a bash plate.

I don't consider myself a fair weather rider, but 150km in -4C just to start the ride seems rough.

OFTR(Ontario Federation of Trail Riders), ODSC(Ontario Dual Sport Club) and SCORRA

We had a few people on GTAM talking about Bethany. Otherwise the SCORRA and ODSC sites are great for planning meetups

Old Nipissing Road - Dual Sport/Adventure/Touring Ride - Saturday, May 9th

That lost part makes it more interesting, not less. Is there any point on the trip where distance between gas is over 200km? My dual sport has a 7I tank :)

    Barrie and area

Yes, and it was awesome :) I think I saw you out there Torren... or some other bearded dude with the exact same bike.

You will not be disappointed. It felt like it pulled harder than the zx10 at lower rpms. It's a monster if you want it to be.

Congrats on getting the Ninja 1000 Luc. I loved that bike at the demo. The engine is all kinds of smooth :)

The reason I sold my bike...lack of roads

A smaller dual sport (250cc) is pretty ideal too. They're cheap to buy and cheap to run (insurance, gas, parts). I've had more fun doing the dual sport/trail riding stuff than any other riding. Highly recommend it. We have an incredible trail system just north of the city in Simcoe county and...

    2015 Demo Days

The Kawasaki demo in Barrie was very quiet last year. I showed up late in the day and there was only 3 of us trying out anything in the fleet. I was the only one who tried the ZX-14 all day. That's a real shame, it's such an incredible machine.

terrifying squealing noise coming from bike

The Ninja 250 has a gas tank that's notorious for whistling when you get temperature change. I don't remember mine lasting for that long though. If it happens again, try popping the gas cap and closing it again.

I don't remember the water being that deep 2 years ago, when I went. How was it last year?

    Ever thought about downsizing?

Downsized from a KLR 650 to a CRF250L, and the only thing I missed was some torque and range. Everything else was better, for what I do. I'm also going to sell off the GL1200 this spring. Fun bike to ride, but definitely not what I'm interested in doing anymore. I'd not only recommend...

CRF250L Cam - Bethany Mud: https://youtu.be/-l27_L04X0U This was Post road, and probably the most muddy part of the ride. I washed mud off my valve cover, just to give an idea of how deep it got. It was an optional challenge section that should be skipped ;)

Depends on the group you're with. Some are quicker than others. A 250cc is fine for these types of rides.

I might go this year. Enjoyed it last ride. Steve and his GPS skills saved the day ;)
