I love the V-Strom as well. I tried a newer one (but not the new redesign) at the Suzuki demo event earlier this year and I had a smile the whole time on that machine :) Sadly, the owners know what they're worth, and never let them go for cheap.

I think that guy replied to my introduction post on KLR650 net. I remember the name of the town. I have the famous surging problem at 110-120km/hr, so I may have to visit him one day. The proposed solutions are numerous, but some would wreck fuel economy. Right now I'm getting 285km before...

Yep, picked it up from a guy in Oro-Medonte. He has a business of grabbing bikes from Quebec, fixing/cleaning, and selling them in Ontario.

Witnessed the accident as it happend. Couple on a BMW F800GS, packed like they were doing cross country. Bike went completely vertical when they hit a stationary car and wife fell off at full height. They said they were ok, but there had to be some bruises. GWS riders.

Nope, she's still around. I got a good enough deal on insurance to plate/insure both bikes.

The Samsung Galaxy S (Captivate or Vibrant) is pretty good, but after trying a Nexus S for a bit, I liked it a lot more. Both are quite "hackable" if you want to do something fancy with them later.

I got some BT-45's put on my 250 this year. So far, they feel way better than the squared off stock tires I replaced.

Seems to be ok. It's just a bit humid out.
