If you're just wanting to know whether it's working or not all you have to do is look at the light in the dash.IF it comes on when you turn the key on(bulb check) and goes out shortly thereafter or when the bike starts to move then it's working. If the light doesn't come on for a bulb check then...
Like I said "Too many gray areas and it's my license/livelihood".Sometimes you have to go with common sense although there doesn't seem to be a lot of that these days.I think MOST people would realise that I would be doing them a service by not passing unsafe tires.
I worked as a Tech at a GM Dealer for 15 years and never really liked doing Certs as there are too many gray areas according to the MTO.My personal policy on certs was that if I didn't like the looks of it I wouldn't sign the cert. After all it is my license on the line.In some cases my service...
The OPP have leased their bikes for a number of years now. They have tested other bikes over the years, but always seem to decide that the Harleys best suit their needs.I have heard that they are going to test some BMW's and some Victories soon though. As far as the Harleys being too slow, they do...
On my 6th Wing and the wife and I have been doing 2 week trips down into the States since the early 90's.I usually just have a general direction in mind, but that's as far as the planning goes.I do pretty much the same as you as far as planning for the next day.A Rand MaNally Road Atlas and a few...
Exactly! If I had to wrap up like I was gonna jump on the shuttle and go to the moon everytime I wanted to ride I'd probable sell the bike and do more boating.Learn how to ride smart and don't overdrive your abilities.Enjoy the ride.
The thing is I never really head strait to the Dragon.I've been going down to that area on bike trips since the early 90's and everytime it's a different route.Never down there in the fall(always the last 2 weeks in July on my holidays)so I couldn't say,but I think it would be awesome scenery...
I ride down to that area every year and ride a ton of miles here in Ontario every year and I wouldn't put even a hundred miles a year on anything more than 2 lanes. So no I don't enjoy slabbing it anywhere, but you're truly missing some really great riding between here and there.Call me crazy,but...
The spacer between the brgs should move out of the way far enough to tap the brg out with a hammer and punch.Just work your way around the brg when tapping.Don't just hammer on one side or you will screw the rim.I'd lay money that Kahuna doesn't press them either.Swing press aka hammer I'm...
The Dragon is overrated. There are a thousand roads just like it between Ontario and there.People just don't see them, because they slab it to get there and back.Take the 9 days and enjoy some really great roads between here and there. As far as I'm concerned the Dragon is one of those things you...
Been all over NY State numerous times on my Wings and I can tell you without a doubt that there are no bad roads in the whole State.Their backroads are 10 times better than our best roads and usually lots to look at,so depending on time cover as much of it as you can.
