    Motorcycle Shelter/Cover

Do any of you have experience with (owned), or have seen this shelter from Gears Canada? I'll be in the market for a new cover in the spring and I've gone through 3 of the Nelson Rigg Deluxe noted below. They all hit a point that they tear and fail. I have to keep the bike outside all season...

What did you buy from the motorcycle supershow ?

What Joe said. Went with a shopping list on gloves but didn't find much. Was disappointed in GP's glove selection. Was hoping to get an idea of fit before doing any purchasing at the show or later in store or online but didn't find much. Parts Canada had 1/2 a pair of one of the ones I'm...

    Great rate at TD MM

I've been with TDMM for about 16 years on the car and 6 with the bike, both with an Alumni discount. I find their rates to be reasonable, but I've got to negotiate the car again as I'm barely driving, working from home, and still pay a stupid amount for a vehicle that gets driven for about 20...

    Finders Keepers

Stopped in today and the bike is lying on it's side. Someone tried to get into a pannier and the whole thing fell over. Heavy mother so no one's going to bother putting it upright. My buddy will be speaking with the landlord and washing his hands of the whole thing. He moved it out of the...

    Finders Keepers

No updates. Won't see my friend until tomorrow. Yeah my friend not me....... Thanks Statsman for the info (only took about 60 posts to get some constructive information), and ZX600 (I agree, could be why I don't bother coming on GTAM much anymore). I just threw out a question about what...

    Finders Keepers

I agree with you on this Rob. I swung by the apartment building today and the bike is out of the parking area and sitting beside the apt. tool shed now. Interestingly it has a plate on it dated 3/16, so it or some other bike got plated in early spring. At least he has something to take to the...

    Finders Keepers

Really???? Why would I bother lying on an anonymous forum, or asking you for advice on how to unload a stolen bike??? Landlord has tried contacting owner/former tenant for months with no contact or returned messages. My buddy offers to remove bike to save the landlord doing it. I don't have...

    Finders Keepers

I mentioned the VIN and MoT today. Try to find out who may own the thing. I don't know if he knew the former owner or not. It's just my understanding the the owner hasn't been in the building for a loooong time and they're kind of surprised that the bike wasn't removed by the building owner...

    Finders Keepers

I need some advice from the great and good on GTAM. A friend has come across an abandoned BMW 1200 LT in his parking lot. It's been there for a year at least. His building manager has told him he can take it so he's moved it into a shed on site. Now he's wondering what he can do with it. I...

looking at a new naked bike for the spring

Always thought my ER6N was a good choice for a first bike, and think it's a good choice for an upgrade as well.

Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

RUSH. What Stephen W. said. I new all about the individuals and events of the '76 season. If your aware of this, then just go in with an open mind and you won't be disappointed. If your not familiar with the sport or the events depicted in the film then it's a great ride and gives you an...

    F1 Thread!!!

With regards to Ross Brawn. Wouldn't it be beautiful if he could team up again with Symonds at Williams? Get this team a better budget and let them go to work with two masters. It's taken Ross a bit since 2009's Brawn shock to get Mercedes going, but they seem to be on the right track...

    F1 Thread!!!

I elect we crown Seb and move on to 2014. I'm looking forward to Ferrari imploding next season. This is a team that hasn't been able to seal the deal since '07 (fluke-with rookie Hamilton choking). Since they've headhunted Fry from McLaren, now Allison and de Beer from Lotus and brought Kimi...

    F1 Thread!!!

Bit of a hijack here but.... I've got 2, three day tickets for sale for this years Canadian GP. Grandstand 24, Section 6, Row BB. Anyone interested I'm asking $800. Would part with only one seat if preferable for $400. Won't find any better seats. I've been sitting here since 1992, and...

Removing oil n grease from fairing fender

Fluid film worked great for me on the old build up of crap on my rims, fenders, end of season last year. http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/3/AutoFluidsChemicals/LubricantsPenetrants/PRDOVR~0381567P/Fluid+Film+Rust+and+Corrosion+Prevention.jsp?locale=en

    Current Bike Mags of Note?

I like both Bike and MSL. As mentioned previously the only drag is cost. I have a sub to Cycle Canada (2010 motorcycle show deal for two years and $20). I enjoy it, but the UK ones are better. Any of the U.S. ones aren't really what I'm in to.

Where to buy a good motorcycle cover and what kind should I look for?

I've got the Nelson Rigg All Season. Works great for me. Bike sits in the backyard all season, and it's protected from the elements. Never gotten wet through the cover, and the heat shield lower panels seem to work fine (for when I can't be bothered waiting for the bike to cool down). No...

Wow.......... Never thought so many fixed objects had it out for us...... Truly scary displays of riding, let alone driving.
