Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Honestly, it does feel it "legit". But, still the dumbest way to sell a bike I've ever seen. Like, is Whitby really that far?

Don't post your shenanigans on tiktok

Nope... Only the initial onus. You think the owner of the bike can say: "Even though I have the IP address of the tiktok user and the exact same model of bike in the video is registered to me, that is not me in the video" and will get off based on that? The owner can say "my bike was stolen...

Don't post your shenanigans on tiktok

You'd be surprised how it actually unfolds in court in terms of innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The Crown will connect the tiktok account to the individual via IP etc., they will then show that said individual owns the bike in the video. The onus is then on the accused...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea for vintage or mileage, but you won't get one for cheaper: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1630529848

or how about people who say "NEED TO SELL THIS WEEKEND> URGENT!" yet they're asking full market value.

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

If that is a lowball, what was it when someone offered $1000 on my $2500 bike? When I look at prices people are asking right now (on bike in the 6k-10k range), I highly doubt the majority of the bikes are selling for more than 60-70% of asking. The most reasonable explanation I've heard is it...

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

I usually avoid anyone that says "lowballs will be ignored" or "scammers will be ignored". A lot of people seem to think ANY offer below asking is a "lowball". So, I'd rather not even being professionally dealing with someone who might think that.

    Kijiji people are evil

oh yeah, i had a lot of interest and he very quickly sent the deposit. Ya snooze ya lose. I know I lost a lot by snoozing. I often send full amount within seconds of an ad coming up.

    Kijiji people are evil

I have a good one upcoming... I'm always doing complicated deals (logistically). I posted a 1969 Triumph, non numbers matching, with a new front end, running with ownership, for 2800. I accepted an offer of 2750. I told the guy i need a non-refundable deposit to bring it to him (as i live in a...

Thoughts on late 2000s Triumph Scrambler 900

I have a few buddies with the bonneville. Both have well over 50 000km and neither had any real issues. This could be a diamond in the rough: Triumph Scrambler 2011 | Street, Cruisers & Choppers | City of Toronto | Kijiji Then of course there is the one in Guelph

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Oh yeah, best deal I've ever seen on BAT, was for an old Volvo in Vancouver. It was like an early 90's sedan (sadly, not a wagon), (5 speed turbo model) all professionally rebuilt to highest standards. And was absolutely mint. Would have been a killer DD. I didn't bother bidding, but when I...

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Sorry, when i said "asking price" i was thinking "selling price" https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-ducati-sport-classic-1000-6/ What is nuts about that sale, is right around that same time similar sportclassics were on BAT and sold for half that price! Is the 'one owner' really bringing...

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Besides that one in hamilton that sat for two-three years (including up to June 2022) at around 13000CAD.......... I think what happens is when a dealer picks it up or when it goes on BAT with the asking price of 25k, a certain type of person thinks it is automatically worth that. Edit, like...

How to sell my bike in Toronto - dealers, private

I wouldn't think a dealer would give you more than $1k for it... I definitely could be wrong, but that's my gut feeling. I think a selling price on kijiji would be $2k. People are probably asking $3-4k
