Same engine but different gearing, X is faster to 60 mph and has a lower top speed. Ah yeah, I am hoping to test ride a 300 soon.

It does get blown around a bit but I haven't had an issue with it. Passing is only with careful planning if you're above 100 km/h. :D

I think 250cc is probably the minimum. I don't think I would ever take a CBR125 on a real highway.

Coming from a Ninja 250 rider... (demo day @ KW Honda in Waterloo) CBR500R - doesn't feel sporty at all (not a bad thing, just looks were kind of deceiving), comfortable, modest forward lean. Engine was decent, bars could have been a bit higher. Shifter was a bit far forward, kind of annoying...

Fair enough, but this is what I was responding to really: "If your a bit worried of that then your in the wrong sport." I don't know how to take that other than 'man up', which downplays the importance of having a helmet in good condition, as they are essentially single-use devices.

I have an old mountain bike helmet with the chin bar smashed in, would you like to use that? I'll even give it to you for free.

Nothing but practice. Go to a parking lot and do it until you don't lock it up anymore.

Kind of tempted to join, but it's pretty far just to get to the starting point, and the route then goes further away from home. Hmm...
