    First run-in with a no-look lane changer

Aside from road rage related incidents, I don't think anyone does this intentionally. However, there are those among us that would rather inconvenient other drivers, than be inconvenienced themselves. I am speaking of those who would cut through 3 lanes on the highway to make their exit, or...

New Rider - GZ250 Suzuki Marauder

Welcome Tugga! Nice bike. I tried it on the RTI course. I would thoroughly recommend you get about 1000km of riding experience before going on a group ride. Each day I am out I feel more confident. Learning what you can do with your bike will help you ride in a group.

return to biking after 15 years...idle musings

Welcome back! And good luck with the CBF. I too am having lot's of fun riding, albeit officially now :D. Gotta remember to switch off that turn signal but I think it has already become a habit after 2 weeks. Glad you're here and ride safe!

    First run-in with a no-look lane changer

OP. Happy to know you didn't get hurt. A similar situation happened to me the other day. As a new rider, but not new to the streets, I was stopped behind a few cars at a stop light. As the lights changed they started to move. As I was shifting to second, a car waiting to turn right into my...

    Why I quit riding motorcycles.

I can relate to this. Always wanted a bike when I was in my 20's. I turned 50 this year and decided to do it. I got my M1 last month and I did the training. My 17 year old daughter and 21 year old son are excited with the former asking if she can get a motorcycle. My wife isn't too pleased but...

    Gear rental

Yeah! I thought it was a bit harsh but they are really serious about it. They did warn us during the classroom session and this point was discussed. A few people went to Walmart to look for jackets/gloves/boots after class.

Bike Knocked Over In Parking Lot... Driver Runs.

It's getting crazier every day in the GTA. The level of ignorance is off the scale!! People go about their business without a care for their surroundings. OP, I hope they get this guy and he is fried.

M1 Exit @ RTI Oakville this weekend

My exact sentiments. I guess those bikes take a lot of abuse. I got the 250 Ninja primarily to keep insurance cost down (have 2 cars as well). Perhaps next season I will move up to a 600 or above. Some sweet deals on the bigger bikes.

    Gear rental

Hi Minion. I did mine @ RTI (Oakville location). Aside from DOT approved helmet, a denim jacket, jeans, leather gloves that cover the wrist bone and leather boots that cover the ankles were good enough. A lady on the course brought a riding jacket but it did not have the back armour for the...
