Too funny! to assume that someone with a few seasons or even many seasons knows what he/she is doing. Experience vs.Skill is relative and do not neccessarily reflect in a linear fashion. It depends on the source of information given, processed, and finally executed. Why is it not possible for...
Just practice emergency maneuvers at all speeds whenever you get the chance to. Im a new rider this year and I think about situations like that. So when safe to do so, practice avoiding the sewers, potholes and whatever debris is on the road but do so at the last possible second. Avoiding...
Why is it that the majority of riders jump on their bikes (majority of SS) and all of a sudden a certain "cool factor" trumps all laws of the road. Hey look at me! I'm on a motorcycle! Look how fast I can go! 177 that's it?! It can go 300! I'm so cool! Wow a rider following the speed limit...
good that he got nailed and i hope he gets everything the courts can throw at him. It's my first year on a motorcycle this summer and all I see on the roads are the experienced riders breaking the law every chance they get. C'mon it's very easy to spot nubie's vs experienced. I wonder if he...
Make sure you study chapter 2+3 of the drivers handbook for G1 testing. It's available online free. Not just the Motorcycle handbook alone! If you dont you're guaranteed to fail! Guaranteed! The M1 test is a combination of 60 questions: I believe 40 pertaining to G1 questions (from Chapter2+3)...
JB Weld is amazing. I "glued" an aluminum bracket to the inside of rear seat cover and it holds tough. It's used to bond a wide variety of materials, not just plastic. Super glue has nothing on JB! Also used it on cracked plastics.
#1and#2: if they weren't too deep i would try to get some color match wax and buff it in. I actually used black shoe polish on my cars bumper that had scuffs like that and it covered it up pretty well too.
#3: I would take the plastic off and JB Weld it from the back side taking care not to...
How do you justify buying an $800+ Arai or Shoei in regards to "better protection" or "Snell 2010 Certified". If you have to replace the helmet after dropping it 2-3ft how can you be confident that helmet will save your head in an accident (any speed)? Your head has to compress the foam inside...
Call scrapyards to see if they have one. Or just use JB PlasticWeld from canadian tire (under $10) to fix the cracks, works amazing. You have to sand it down after it dries but then just spray bomb it. Just get touch up paint for the scratches.
Zdeno's in kitchener is a great place. Only place i could find an ignition coil for my 94 YZF750R and I called everywhere! If you need a part just go in, they have a great cross-referencing program that will call up other bikes that use the same parts. The coil I got was off an 89 FJ1200...
