Not really in the garage but bike related. The foam liner in my top case was starting to fall apart. I also noticed that some hard items stored in the top case have a tendency to rub against the bottom of the case where the foam liner doesn't cover which can potentially create a hole in the...
Having explored most of the areas within a 2-3 hour radius from my home, every September for the past few years, I've been doing one or two night trips to explore the areas I can't comfortably reach in one day. My rides usually start early morning between 5-6am so that I can make it home by...
Thanks xrljoel. After seeing the link, I'm definately crossing it off the list. Anyone have any inputs on Old Nipissing Road Trail? Seems like that's a bit more accessible.
LOL. I got so excited seeing this route pop up on Google Maps. I did some street views and saw a sign saying it's not a thru road and it closes at the Algonquin Park boundary but I can't seem to find that anymore.
Thanks GreyGhost. I guess I'll have to avoid that route for this trip.
Would love to make this a group ride but unfortunately, my departure time won't be finalized until the day of.
Hello Everyone. I'm planning quick trip to Driftwood Provincial Park. I punched it in Google maps and it gave me a route through Algonquin Park via Major Lake Road. Has there been anyone who has travelled through this road that can give me some input on road conditions? I'm ok with gravel roads...
I've painted my helmet before. I used Tamiya paints made for scale models. I find their paint sprays much more fine requiring less coats. They also have a better colour selection. Painting itself isn't a big ordeal. Getting the gloss on the paint finish is where the real work is. You can't just...
I went from Val D'or down to ottawa on hwy 117. I enjoyed it. Very scenic. There are a few road side picnic areas with tables for breaks. Roads were smooth. I've been wanting to go back. No cell service for most of it when I was there a few years back.
Wago connectors can be an option.

Good recommendations. We passed by Redneck Bistro on our route and it looks like a great spot.
Starship - I saw your post on the Day Trips thread about Bent Anchor Bar in Barry's Bay and added it to my route. Unfortunately, we departed a bit late and made it to the area right in between lunch...
Bigpoppa - Nope, not Vicky on the CBR.
Baggsy - Road to Lavant Station was freshly paved. Amazing road. I don't recall any gravel around the McDonalds Corners area.
Lightcycle- I agree. I have not ridden any roads like this before. Not for long stretches like this.
I don't know how you guys did...
On our way back to the cabin, we picked up some food to cook over the fire, some more beers and again made it back for sunset.
Fall colours coming through
We had a few hours of clear skies at night and the milky way was visible.
We woke up to some heavy rain, the forecast showed it...
Since I first started riding, I've been always reading about the Calabogie and the awesome roads in the area. Calabogie was always too far for a single day trip. This year, I made it point to find a base camp in the area so I can ride all these roads I've been reading about. Me and two friends...
