I didn't think you could make a salvage bike street legal again. Only with cars can you weld together 4 different cars with tin cans and make it road legal again with some bribes.
edit:
Try and get a cost of fixing it yourself, because if insurance writes it off it will only get "Irreparable"...
From what I can tell:
New rear tire installed, noticed damage after install
Ordered front tire, shop said they would "try" to fix rear damage when front came in and they installed.
you said your bike is low miles why did you need a new rear already?
I was at Kawi day in pickering motorsports, nobody was taking out the SS bikes. I think I was the only one. out of the 4 departures I was there for. The most sucky part of the demo rides, is you don't get above 100kph. OK legally you shouldn't but honestly I want to go from 0-100 as FAST as...
do your research and show up ready to buy if you get your $$. I did this with my last car, and it worked, I did end up spending a good hour there because of the typical back and forth. Basically showing you are serious and if you don't get the price you want then you will walk. This is the...
For me the 650R was the next bike for me. Mainly do commuting so it was a good choice, tons usable power on the street and you can treat it like a 250 (ride the stink out of it). Its got enough to keep you excited, I can't see myself needing any more power, its the ideal sporty commuter...
I was once rear ended because I saw it at zero and it turned yellow, I stopped. slowly. got rear ended guy was like WTF it was yellow!
Cautious drivers will slow down brake, come to stop @ yellow because its safe to do so.
Aggressive drivers will stomp the gas and speed up when they see...
I go out for rides probably 500-1000km/year max, the rest is commuting. If I only rode for those leisure times for max 1000km I would have given up riding years ago. I commute on the bike and as such lots of times take the scenic route home, or play photo tag and discover something new...
Recently I went on a HD demo day, really like the ride and strongly considering picking one up next year. Now I do commute allot around the city, sometimes I get stuck in that awesome traffic where you go 60km in 4hours. For those that own a HD and ride in traffic how do they handle the heat...
Some drivers don't understand when they move over and your there they could kill you. I had a guy wave me off like I was overreacting, he came into my lane.
This was due to my general WTF look and jesture.
So like any sportbiker I smashed his mirror off :angel5:
Those will most likely pass, if that was my car I would put them in and keep driving until the next oil change at least. I'm not a fan spending extra money that is not required.
