Was a bit tired last night so didn't elaborate, here is why I recommend just buying private.
I actually bought my first two bikes from Cycle Word (my second bike was actually a FZ6 as well! I frequented the FZ6 forum), as they are relatively close by, and I was initially afraid of mechanical...
So in Toronto it'll be high of 38 feeling like 48 today...
For comparison, in Dubai today at 4PM, it'll be a high of 37, feeling like 47. So yes, it'll feel hotter in Toronto this afternoon than in the fking dessert in the Middle East.
Stay cool, drink lots of fluids!! Heat strokes could...
Technically wearing a condom is only one of many birth control methods. Wearing gear is the only way to save (most of) your skin in the event of a crash.
Wifebeater + shorts + helmet = squid
Wifebeater + shorts + helmet + back protector + loud pipe = invincible
Coz, you know, if you crash, as long as you don't become a vegtable, losing your arms and legs means you can still bone.
Yes, I had a light grey mesh jacket last year (Rev'IT Air, LOVE IT) and it was much better than a black RST mesh I had before that. The black really starts baking when sitting in traffic.
This year I upgraded to a white Rev'IT Pheonix for the extra leather protection, worth every $$.
Hope it works out in your favour, it sounds like you've got it handled.
I always pay at pump, hardly ever even get off my bike. The one time I went inside to get a drink on a hot day, some lady almost ran my bike over because she was speeding around the corner (and didn't see my bike behind...
The real question is, why argue over this at all? Wearing gear reduces injuries, being perceptive and cautious reduces chances of accidents. It can be either, or can be both.
It's like people arguing that one would drive safer if not wearing a seat belt, or ride safer when not wearing a...
50/50 perhaps. I think it's something like half of bike accidents are single-vehicle accidents, half are involving crazy cagers or careless riders.
However, "will never go down" is a bold statement. You can be 150% cautious and get run down by a cager running a red, or slip on something...
Going to practically give these away at $100 for both ($400 value new). I lost weight since last year and don't fit either of these jackets anymore. If you usually wear XL jackets these will fit you.
No pics, they're as-is. The Rev'it jacket has minor scrapes on right from a low-side, not...
Ninja EX500, GS500 are good choices for you, or non-SS 600s - 650R, FZ6, SV650 but you will need to be careful on the throttle. It'll also be easier if you drive standard, so you would know how the gearing works.
I don't disagree with you. People can go out and buy a Ferrarri for their 16yo if they like.
I'm trying to give advice that I would give to a friend. I would never want to be accountable for telling a friend to start on a gixxer and find him crashed because of a moment of panic due to...
Yeah... Take the riding course, talk to the instructor, and you will be told to start on a 125 or 250, at most a 500.
If you are unwilling to start on anything less than a 600SS because of SS bikes are what you envision motorcycling is about, then don't ride.
