Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?
Fair enough. I can say that in the SKS and Rem870 offerings, neither of those three issues are present. I'm happy with mine but your concerns are all valid for the 10/22 platform.
Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot?
Nice build. While I've not had experience with their 10/22 options, I have AA on my SKS and Rem870 and both are much more solid than most other options I've checked out.
Alarms are ALWAYS drawing power whether armed or not as they have a receiver that is always on. If your battery is weak then the alarm can cause issues. I know of some people that will install an inline switch to cut all power to the alarm when it's not needed (in your garage or other secure...
I know you're trying to describe the difference but your terminology will get someone in trouble.
Sealed refers to the factory seal. Any alcohol that is still sealed can be anywhere in/on a motor vehicle.

OKAAAAAAAY NOW! It's June 16th... let's not be speaking of this "winter" thing!
And nice bike! I had a 99 SV650S back when it first came out. I loved it... until it morphed into it's big brother, the TL1000S.
