Blue plated bike with off-road insurance only

Unless it was blue plated prior to the ban on doing so. If that's the case DON'T SWITCH TO A GREEN PLATE, you won't be able to get a blue plate for it again.

    Rolling stop... on a bicycle

I'm thinking you're going to have a hard time convincing a JP that the stop sign, for some reason, doesn't apply to bicycles. I'd suggest an early resolution meeting with a goal of pleading guilty to a by-law offence. Happens in Hamilton all the time. The by-law won't show up on your abstract...

    RAM X Mount Phone mount

Don't know why they wouldn't just glue it in the 1st place if they've acknowledged an issue that has them including a tube of glue?

    RAM X Mount Phone mount

A hint for the X Mount; take the rubber "grabbers" off, stick some super glue in the holes, then re-install. The grabbers sliding off is the only weak point of this mount but once glued, it's fantastic.

    Thinking about a motorcycle lift.

Yup, but I've used those same wheel chocks and a bike won't fall over in them but rather, lean. However if the surface they're on isn't stable...

    Thinking about a motorcycle lift.

The lift with the BMW on it is actually the 1000 lb unit, not the 800 lb unit mentioned in my quoted post. I haven't actually seen the 1000 lb unit so have no comment on it. The 800 lb is a joke IMHO. Regardless; outriggers! The story on the forum I got the pic from was simply that the bike...

    Thinking about a motorcycle lift.

I happened to be in PA yesterday and saw the lift that's on sale. Not to put down anyone that's bought it, and understanding that there's a substantial price difference, but it's on a different planet compared to the Direct Lift. Quite frankly, I wouldn't put my bike on PA's sale lift at all...

    Thinking about a motorcycle lift.

You'll love not having to lay on the ground... and you can put your beer on the table while you work.

    Thinking about a motorcycle lift.

The deck sits 7" above the garage floor. I wheel my trailer over it all the time without issue.

    Motorcycle lift / hoist recommendation

The Direct Lift has diamond plate (I can't remember if the PA does). I have never done anything to secure them onto the deck and never have any worry about it.

    Motorcycle lift / hoist recommendation

I just ran the conversion; $90 is $90 (comparing the DT so it's apples to apples). So long as it's close enough for you. Although a call to them in Vaughan with the comparison may be worth your while...

    Motorcycle lift / hoist recommendation

I haven't bought the side extensions yet (but have thought about many times) The Direct Lift appears to only be available with the drop panel now so there's no decision to be made on that. You're right; you can't use a rear stand with the drop out removed... but then why would you want to...

    Motorcycle lift / hoist recommendation

I use head lift, fork, and 2 types of swingarm stands on it with no issue. I've used a floor jack under the frame of a cruiser to lift the rear as well. I haven't ever used the wheel vice that came with it. It's a very solid vice (especially when compared to the PA versions) however I have a...

    Motorcycle lift / hoist recommendation

I have a Direct Lift Pro Cycle DT. Much more solid than the PA tables. Expandable with add on sides if I want. 1000 lbs max weight. $1000 CDN. Relatively local pick up.

How old were your kids when they got their first dirt bike?

I wouldn't let him ride any off road without one. Got them at PA too.

How old were your kids when they got their first dirt bike?

    CORRECTION; he went solo at 2.5 years! Pics added;

How old were your kids when they got their first dirt bike?

My son had his XR50 at 1.5 years (I rode with him obviously). He went solo at 3.5 years (with training wheels). He went without training wheels at 5.5 years. By 8.5 years he had lost interest in riding. His bike and my dirt bike are gone. He loves riding on the back of the Superduke and he...

    Witness to testify in court

As inconvenient as it is (and Brian is completely right about the system being user-unfriendly) the problem is that case law has pretty much set up the situation that the Crown must be able to proceed at any and all opportunities. If it isn't it could be ruled an unreasonable delay and thereby...
