Last summer GP Bikes asked me to sign a $2500 deductible insurance policy to join the Triumph demo ride. Being the first time I’ve heard of that, I said no thanks. I’m sure it’s normal policy.

@Paulee I hear you. I'll use the bike to scoot around the city to run the odd errand or two on weekends. Otherwise, yes, like you I've been generally riding outside the city. Plus, to maximize the peace, this means waking up early to beat weekend traffic!

This theft prevention tool is interesting. It's a steering wheel mounted taser. Perhaps something similar could be developed for motorcycles.

I put forward this scenario since someone stated that insurance companies would charge you for each bike you ride even though you can only ride one at a time - the rational being that friends could take your other bikes out?
