    Winterizing your motorcycle

Just bringing my response "TTT", for those that haven't read page 1, or don't feel the need to read page 1. Only thing to add, if you're really anal or have super soft compound tires, it doesn't hurt to chalk and rotate your tires every few weeks. I used to do this, but stopped years ago and...

My '01 Nighthawk nestled in amoungst the cruisers at Port Dover during Friday the 13th celebrations. I love having something a bit different and rideable!

    Winterizing your motorcycle

As long as you run it good and hot, and burn off all the moisture inside the exhaust, you're good to go!

    Winterizing your motorcycle

My experience is that you don't really need stabilizer for under 6 months. I've been riding since 1987, and this is just my personal experience. By all means, for a few bucks, it doesn't hurt to add stabilizer!

Has anyone else "given up" commuting on their motorcycle?

I'm the opposite now, as I've given up "sport riding" and now mainly commute. Straight lines and city traffic (esp. downtown Toronto) are plenty entertaining enough for me!

    Winterizing your motorcycle

Wash, wax, oil chain, change motor oil (if not fresh), fill up tank, add fuel stabilizer (though not really necessary for under 6 months), and cover with something that "breaths". Trickle charge every 4-5 weeks, or keep battery hooked up to a tender. Keep tires off of direct concrete. While I...

Where to buy Corbin seat and footpeg lic. plate mount

I ordered my seat directly from Corbin. It arrived in the mail exactly 2 weeks later. (BTW, my Corbin is no more slippery than my stock seat).

Here she be with the new Corbin. No "break-in" time needed. Comfortable from day 1.

    Looking for a bike....anyone riding hwy 410/10 to orangeville-help

Trying riding through North Carolina and West Virginia... now those are "hills" and you will notice the limitations of any 250! If you're just tooting around southern Ontario, you'll be just fine. Might I recommend an EX500 or GS500? Great all-rounders and very novice friendly, and they fit...

    Looking at down sizing bike

I'm not sure if this thread was the work of a troll or not, but the topic is a good one. I also "downsized" as I wanted something a bit more manageable for street use, cheaper to insure, and easier to work on. I went from a 135 hp (and oodles of torque) to 80 hp, but got rid of unnecessary...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

I bought two aftermarket mags: --Butler Creek 25 round --Promag 32 round I have yet to take them out of their packaging to try them out. I will let you guys know how they perform. I did test the rifle with the stock 10 round mag, and it feeds perfectly fine. Also, I am fairly new to the...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

I decided I needed a semi-auto plinker to enjoy with my 12 year old son and his friends at the range. I already own a sweet Savage MKII BTVSS with a stainless heavy barrel and a very nice laminate thumbhole stock, which is a real tack driver (and 100 percent reliable), but being bolt-action, it...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

I've been a member of HAHA for the past 3 years. Their rifle range is only 100 yards, but it's good enough for my needs. I also enjoy shooting my non-scoped toys at their 50 yard range.

what are the minimum CC's for a road legal motorcycle

I had a fully street legal Tomos scooter/moped (it didn't have pedals, so not really a moped). It had a 48cc 2-stroke engine and would go 60 km/hr on a good day. A kick in the pants to ride, but I got laughed at alot ;)

Is There Any Bike Out There That Can Give You 400+ km's On Tank Of Gas?

My '01 Nigthawk 750 will give me, on average (mix of city and highway), 350 kilometres before I go to reserve where there's at least another 30-40 km before I go dry... so almost 400 kilometres. If I were only doing highway and kept my rpms down, it can go beyond 400 kilometres before I go to...

A whole new world opened up with a helmet change for around town...

I suspect that has more to do with the drugs that mofo was taking over the years... and he's a total wack-job now. :)
