Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

CBR250s Guys, I'm in the market for a recent Honda CBR250. I am just wondering if you guys think the bikes posted online lately are overpriced. They all seem to be going for the $3500 mark in and around the GTA, and only about one that I have seen has disappeared (sold) in the last couple...

Private or Dealer ...for first time purchase

Re: Liens Yeah, civility is not dead. Of course people want to sell their vehicles and pay them off, esp with bikes because some people just choose not to ride any more. the seller looked into it further and explained it like this...which I think is kinda cray: he said that as long as he makes...

Private or Dealer ...for first time purchase

Liens Guys, I looked at one bike, where the UVIP is showing a clean title (no lien) but the seller told me he actually still owes money to the dealership. I believe the seller and the bike is priced such that he's not just trying to get rid of it for whatever. Does anyone know, if I transfer...

How much to have bike lowered?

Ooo! Do most motorcycle gear shops in the GTA carry those or would they be special order?

Private or Dealer ...for first time purchase

Struggling with this same question myself. Really want to go for private because I feel there's some money to be saved, but the problems I am finding is: - dinged-up bikes...generally light falls with what appears to be light cosmetic damage. - bikes not kept in good condition, i.e. the rotors...

How much to have bike lowered?

I have been questioning this too as I can get my full toes on the ground on a bike but that's it unfortunately. I have been advised highly not to do the lowering. I would definitely consider seat-shaving though, but I have seen very few posts on how it is actually done. Are seats made of wood...

    One step at a time...

License restrictions Guys, As a hybrid licensed driver with one of your conditions falling into the novice category, all it is saying is that you are subject to the escalated system of penalties. Each class' conditions still only apply when you are in that kind of vehicle. The zero-tolerance...

Re: Seller pulled out...dealerships? That is ludicrous. I just got my M1, and You're asserting that for basically another two years now, zero tolerance will apply to me when I am driving a car, after I've already had my G for 20 years?

Re: Seller pulled out...dealerships? With the greatest of respect, as I know you guys are the experts...but that's why I am going to say the following...according to all the research I've done on this board and others, that seems to be NOT true: - M1 conditions apply when you are on your...

Re: Seller pulled out...dealerships? I was going for the Honda CBR250RA. I did shoot an email over to Can North. I heard decent things about them on this board. A little far but not as bad as Hamilton. Based on what I have read here, I will try to avoid VOS motors. when you say..."season not...

Seller pulled out...dealerships? Oh boy, I am miffed at the moment. I spent the last couple of days viewing bikes, put down an offer with deposit, and after all the effort, the seller decided to refund my deposit and go with another offer. We had decided where we were going to meet, how I'd...

First riding season mistakes I made

LOL, I hate to bring up another Star Trek reference, but those big boots could totally work with a Klingon costume. But seriously, if I could bring this thread back down to earth here. I'm really concerned that as a newbie, I'm gonna drop my bike at a stoplight. This is now my main concern...

New Rider, First bike: Which one??? (Guide to choosing your first ride)

But everything I read esp for safety, discourages anything over 250-300cc for a new rider.

New Rider, First bike: Which one??? (Guide to choosing your first ride)

From all my research I'm torn on a ninja or CBR for my first bike. 250-300 class. I wanted a naked sport-styled bike but most of the naked bikes out there aren't the style I'm looking for. I considered the Suzuki GW250 but it seems to be sluggish according to the reviews, so it's out.

New riders: should we armour up?

Wow. All I can say is... there must be some really bad car drivers out there hitting us; or, some riders must take real big risks or go quite fast; or, Even casual riding is way harder and a bigger health risk than it looks and i am getting in way over my head!

New riders: should we armour up?

Since I got involved in this thread I've learned a lot and done a bit of research and it does seem there are quite a few helmets out there with detachable chin bars. That's right down my alley I think as once I get comfortable, I might entertain the idea of short rides without using the chin...

Motorcycle Spring Show - March 21 to 22nd

Are there actually deals at these shows on things like regular gear or do they actually price gouge, knowing that you're there already, so you're more likely to buy something? i was at a gear shop today looking at my first helmet. I know gear is expensive, I'm ready for it, but I really need...

    Learning Curves or RTI?

Of course it could get stolen. Luckily we have decent security, which should reduce the risk. 24/7, plus you need a fob to open the door from the inside (weight alone won't do it). That's life in the big city. I'll just take my comprehensive down to $300. Honestly, if someone wants to try and...
