    second hand car question

AFAIK, There is no sure fire way of knowing. I bought my old Sonoma from an older guy who owned it from new, was in pretty decent shape for the mileage and year ('95). I remember asking him if had ever been in an accident or anything, and of course his answer was no, and the truck didn't show...

List Jobs you wish you had

I love to own a fly in fishing/hunting lodge. Be a bush pilot, guide, machinist, mechanic, redneck engineer, chief cook and bottle washer. Too many thing holding me south to just sell it all and do it though. Maybe a semi retirement job. In the real world I'd love to work in an R&D lab that...

    Any SV650 experts?

Bingo. I wouldn't bother with the front end swaps, and don't even waste your time trying to swap a STOCK shock from another bike (street maybe, but for the track it's a complete waste of time and money). Find a used (or new if you have the dough) Ohlins, Penske, or Elka. for the rear and have...

    Rare Snow Owl

Cool. I had an Owl sitting in a tree right in front of me (10 yards) one of the days I was out hunting. I didn't even notice it until it took off, and scared the **** out of me. No idea what kind it was but that thing was huge.

    Hondas

Helped Chinto put a ninja 250 back together after he painted it. Neither one of us were the ones who took it apart, but I think it took 3 tries to get it back together. The 2nd time all the bodywork went on perfect and when I went to attach the mirrors that's when I discovered that they go on...

    Deer Hunting

Just got my first Doe tonight. Hanging in the garage next to the bikes. Buddy of mine is really good at tanning hides, and he's going to help me out with it. Another group of buddies all take their hides to the depot and get the hat/patch to sew on their jackets. I've always wanted to learn...

    How to start tracking?

Bring the back protector you're going to wear when you try on suits. When I bought my spyke suit at sturgis I tried it on with a back protector from the store. Suit fit great, but wouldn't fit with my knox back protector. It fits great with the knox now that I've lost 30 lbs though.

    How to start tracking?

nTMP and Shannonville have a nice wall to lean the bike against (if you pit in the right spot). If you're one of those guys who gives a **** what your bike looks like, then get a rear stand. Although the wall never seemed to leave a mark on my bike at all. The crashing did though.

    Ever lost interest in riding?

Same here. Racing did me in. I never believed the guys who said you'd lose interest in street riding once you started trackdays and racing. But 3 years later I've put more km's on my race bike than my street bike. I kept the insurance up on the street bike this year but only rode it once out...

What's The Craziest Thing You've Ever Done On A Motorcycle?

There's a big long dirt road sweeper on one of the ways home from work. I can neither confirm, nor deny, that I've drifted the Kat round that corner numerous times. Craziest thing I've ever done, was paying for insurance this year. The only time I rode was from winter storage in the barn, to...

    Buzz words

I've got a buddy who's a trucker (not a truck driver, a TRUCKER). He's just down right classic to talk to. Keep the wheels spinnin' and the beavers, grinnin'.

    Buzz words

What you need is some blue sky thinking. Had an old boss that used to say that all the time. He was too busy with his head in the clouds to notice his business failing.

    Movers

Two men and a truck. They moved us last year, and it was well worth the money. Around $900 (might have been $800, not sure) for an almost full truck downtown T.o. to Kendal. Zero complaints about them. We've got some heavy, awkward big long credenzas. A buddy and I moved them into our old...

Have you ever thought about racing?

money always held me back. Truth is, money still holds me back. It's only because I let it thought. There are a multitude of different ways to get on a track and start racing. At any budget. And YES, you CAN be competitive on a shoestring budget, you just have to pick the appropriate bike...

What type of tools do you use?

Starrett, Mitutoyo, Interapid, Tesa, Kurt....My daily use tools are specialized, but for sockets wrenches etc, It's pretty much mastercraft. I'm an auction hunter, yard saler, swap meet, and flea market guy for tools. I'm slowly replacing (and adding to) my collection of lower grade mastercraft...

    Condo Garage Cleaning....

I never moved mine at all. Had a car, and two bikes in the same spot, and they only ever gave us a day or two to move our vehicles. I was in a back corner spot, and just left the bikes parked where they were in the back corner. Never in 3 years did I have a problem. Only problem I ever had...
