Look further ahead. I just starting riding in april but been through many hrs riding in the rain. Looking ahead I have yet to have to brake hard once. May consider going to an empty lot at night when its wet to practice what its like to lockup the rear though . I know it wont throw me off...

It almost makes me want a red bike just so I can get those the rims done in white, that looks great. trying to picture my bike with white rims, doesn't seem to have the same effect.

Grats. I'm no expert but sounds like maybe a short in wiring / contact. did you wash your bike prior to? was it wet? Wires or more precisely the plastic covering the wire degrades over time with heat and stuff so you might need to change out some wiring.
