Very important information m1 exit road test! How to pass & not fail! (mto)

Re: Passed with a 600 Wasn't your initial advice to "rent" a smaller bike to pass? So by your logic it's smarter to: Cost of licence exam: $40 Cost of rental bike: ~$85 Total: $125 or Cost of licence exam first try: $40 Cost of licence exam 2nd try: $40 Total: $80 You could even go for it...

    Long weekend trip to Ottawa

Driving the cage right up that way. Would take the bike but need to bring my fishing equipment and my fishing dog as heading to the cottage just south of Maniwaki. If the weather's nice, and it should be, riding along the 105 is a fun time. Scenic and twisty in a lot of spots.

Very important information m1 exit road test! How to pass & not fail! (mto)

    A) Your post is too long..not one's going to read all that B) Your part about "Brampton being harder than Orangeville", sounds very much like a post I made a few days ago. And sorry dude, but it was 100% true and I've probably been riding almost as long as you've been born. The test was night...

    Ordered my personalized plates today!

I remember a story about a guy with a jacked up pickup truck trying to get the plate "BLO ME", saying it stood for "Below Me"

    Shift Warehouse Sale!

Anyone make it up there yet? I'm in the market for a good leather jacket (the mesh is getting a lil chilly), as well as can always use some funky Fox gear.

Total loss on my bike...looking for the next one

A good friend is looking to sell his VFR800. I think it's a 2006 or so, silver, no mods or anything that I know of. Never dropped/raced/abused. Not sure what he wants for it but could inquire. He is in London, Ont. but could arrange something.

    M2

Where are you taking it out of curiosity? I was going to make a post about the BS at Drivetest but I'll just add it here. Just to add, I've been riding dirtbikes since I was 12 and had my full M for about 10 years but when I moved downtown Toronto I was a fool and let my licence expire so had...

LF: Deal/Hook up Basic Cable + Internet

Best thing to do is scour through all of the deals offered and start playing them off each other, if you have the time. For example, find Bell's best deal, call Rogers and tell them what Bell's offering and see if they'll beat it. After you get Rogers best deal, call Bell and see if they'll...

    A cure for crazy

Same. When I got my current back earlier this summer I was going through a lot of crapola and found when I was out riding, I wasn't worrying about anything other than staying alive...and having fun :)

    M2 to m price diff?

This comes with a 500% increase to your electrical bill, gas bill, shopping bill, a 200% decrease to your sports watching, red meat eating and fun. And of course, a 1000% increase to you saying "omg, wtf was I thinking". Marriage..not worth the insurance decrease.

    Rider down on Bayview

Motorcycle riding is one of the ONLY places this is a GOOD thing. ;)

What are the good roads in Quebec?

I think the route (not sure the highway # but google knows it) through Peterborough and then onto the 417 is quite scenic. I've taken it once on the way to the cottage. As for riding in Quebec, if you have time or it's on your route, try going up the 105 from Ottawa. It runs alongside the...

    Riding with the old man

Over labour day weekend I had my first long trip in awhile, riding from Toronto, down to my parents place just outside of Woodstock, Ont, and then onto a friends in Dorchester, up to Sarnia, and all around Harsen's Island just over into Michigan. Many highlights, and one crazy highlight of...

    Ontario and Quebec this weekend

I take the 105 going North out of Ottawa on the way to the cottage. Never done it on the bike, but in the car it's quite the scenic and fun drive. Lots of twisties and you basically ride alongside the Gatineau river most of the way.

how long is your commute to work?

About 30 minutes in the morning, from Jane/Bloor to Bay/Queen. Afternoons are a joke though and can be over an hour as there's no good way home. Once a week I cut that down to about 15 seconds when I work from home. I try to ride most days, except the days I need to wear a suit.

    Nearly became a hood ornament

Same. Rode dirtbikes growing up, then a streetbike in my early 20s but just got a bike this summer and been commuting downtown. Mornings (leave around 7am from Jane/Bloor) aren't too bad as I just take Bloor all the way to Bay, then down to Dundas. Afternoons are a bit more scary but you get...

    Went Down Today

and ironically, about 30 minutes after I posted on this subject, a cabbie in the oncoming lane decided he had enough room between the car in front of me, and me on my bike, to make a left hand turn..that by flashing his lights it was "ok!". I missed him by about a foot, and there was NOTHING I...

    Went Down Today

I can only assume that when YOU went down, it was your fault, whereas the OP was clearly not at fault but rather suffered due to someone else's negligence. I'm not for a huge US-style cash settlement, but receiving some sort of compensation for the inconvenience and hassle of being hurt and...

    Cabbies.

Had that this morning on Bloor from Spadina all the way to Bay. Cabbie was in between both lines for about 3 stop lights, finally passed him and yelled in his open window to pick a damn lane.

    Looking for a backpack!

As I said in the other backpack thread, I got the Ogio Metro bag and couldnt be happier. Lots of separate apartments for keeping stuff separated (house keys, gym clothes, cell phone, mp3 player, etc). I did see that one dealer that advertises on here (can't think of their name, but they are...
