"Police say they’re targeting drivers who are driving unsafely or aggressively. We’ve all seen our share of motorcycle drivers holding on to the handlebars with one hand, "
I do this all the time when I'm bored motoring along the empty stretches of straight road.
I picked up an 06 in the fall of 09 down in Virginia, I was upgrading from a 600 katana.
She's smooth on the highway and eats up the miles with ease, Riding back from deals gap with summer I was cruising at 90mph and still managed to get almost 350kms out of a tank of gas. I completely regret...
MMMmmm Yuengling, $16.99/24 at Wegmans in Niagara Falls. One of my favorite cheap beers.
Thanks for this thread, a few beers I haven't tried have been mentioned that I'll have to try out.
I would never buy a used Helmet, but jacket's, pants, gloves etc are fair game. My current jacket, pants and boots were all bought used, My gloves on closeout.
As for prices that's up to you what you want to spend and the condition the items in. I grabbed a older speedmaster jacket in great...
I've looked down a few times at the speedo on the back roads and did the math, needless to say I think it's time to grab a cheap track bike and start doing track days to "get it out of my system".
I don't know about the rest of you but I hate riding with a backpack. The straps cut a lot of the airflow off in my jacket, and as stated the fear of anything solid in the pack causing injury in a crash is always there.
Go for a tankbag, or even better a tailbag that's completely out of your...
Are the cops still charging people splitting/filtering under hta172? I know the guy on here that got nailed that way had the charges reduced or dropped, but that was after getting hit with the towing & impound fee's and having to sell his bike.
Check out busabob's thread on his dealings with his written off busa and primmium.

One of the insurance guru's will hopefully chime in but I was under the impression your Dad's insurance rates will be based on the highest risk rider in the house. Meaning you or your brother so his rates will be much higher than if he was insuring the bike for himself.
Others have had the ownership ticket dropped by showing up with it at the trial.
I'm guessing your plate is tucked up under the tail maybe? bring in a 407 bill showing you've ridden on it in the past and it billed you for those times and maybe you can get the evading tolls ticket dropped.
FYI Radioworld has a lot of their gps cradles zip tied to a display wall, so if you can't find a specific one online that will fit your gps you could always go in to the shop with your gps and see what one fit's.
The problem with your idea is most people only see the bad. Start a thread on a non bike board asking people to see bikes and you'll see rants about speeding bikes, lane splitters, obnoxiously loud exhausts & wheelies on the highway.
As you already know, no one notices the guy cruising along...
I picked up a magellan on clearance for $60 from CT a while back on impulse, it's great at night but is useless even in nightmode during the day. You can barely see the screen in direct sun, That's something to consider when looking at non motorcycle gps units. Like others have mentioned you can...
If your considering a netbook consider the HD size before you grab one. My HP mini 110 only has a 160Gig HD . I was down there last month and one of the guys was shooting so much GoPro video he overnight shipped a external hard drive in.
While your down there do the Dragon, Hellbender, the...
Have to agree with the others. That's a better way to try it than risking your bike, or doing it on the highway.
This place is going seriously downhill, it's getting almost as bad as the automotive section of RFD's.
What do you ride? and how many kms a day are you comfortable doing?
Take the scenic route down to Deals gap, do the Blue ridge parkway spend a few days riding around down there then ride home Or Virgina, Pennsylvania etc etc. If your going out east give yourself more than 7 days, I did a 9 day...
Re: If You or Want To Ride The Dragon
You don't have to be hauling *** for trucks to be a danger on the dragon, I was sweep on a slow group ride and 3 corners in we came around the corner to a semi over 3/4 in our lane, we were well under the speed limit at the time and the only way the guy in...
If you've been riding with these guys for a while you should already know by now what their like, and they you. A simple "I'm not gonna zig zag through traffic to keep up with you guys" should be all that needs to be said at the start of the ride. In fact after a few rides they should have...
