    Anyone selling/have a Honda vfr800 2003 and newer?

I imported a 2006 VFR in Dec of 09 out of Virginia. Great bike, eat's up the miles with no issues, and can easily hold it's own in the twisties. I grabbed a full set of hard bags off ebay.uk last spring, if your even remotely considering touring I recommend finding one for sale with the hard...

Advice for fighting Careless Driving Ticket

Fight it for sure, A guy at work got dinged for a wheelie, they gave him a careless ticket and he paid it. Then after discovering his insurance was dropping him went back after the fact and hired a ticket fighter and had it lowered to IIRC failure to remain in your lane. Same fine + lawyer, no...

    My trip to deals gap

There's a small portion of the BRP closed, http://www.blueridgeparkway.org/v.php?pg=25 looks to be a 30 to 40 minute detour. I did US219 down to Rich Creek, Then down to Robbinsville via the highway, the way back Robbinsville to Rich Creek mainly up the BRP but hit some smaller back roads then...

Do you like riding in groups?

A random group ride I'd probably skip, but There's a few friends I would go out for a ride on at a moments notice. Definitely prefer small groups, 4-6 bikes at the most.

Do you listen to music while riding?

I'll do music on long rides, I just did a 2 day ride back from Deals Gap back home via the Blue Ridge Parkway and US219. Music definitely made it a much more enjoyable trip.

    Cherahola VS 28 south

IMHO you missed out, and I've ridden 28 down to Georgia too. The Cherahola is 55 miles of 25-35 mph sweepers with a 5000ft elevation change. We stay at a place at the base of the Cherahola on the NC side and I do beer runs over it when in need. I got a friend to shoot this a few years back...

anyone use the the RainBow Bridge lately

Lewiston is usually the worst of the 3 bridges, from what I've read most gps units route through that crossing so it get's hammered pretty bad with traffic. Living in Beamsville I just check all 3 bridges before I leave the house. Usually Fort Erie is the fastest during the day, if you cross at...

Heading down to the Dragon, any good 2 day routes?

Thanks for the replies. I Haven't done Skyline but US219 is a bit of everything, winding country road, 2 lane bypass and so on, and the further south the better it get's. That's basically Why I started taking it down and back, the interstate routes suck *** IMHO. Great for making good time but...

Heading down to the Dragon, any good 2 day routes?

I'm riding down to the Dragon again next month and wondering if anyone has any good 2 day routes for the ride down. The last 2 years now I just shoot over the border Friday morning and get on US219 and ride it all the way down. I hit the BRP the second day and end up where we're staying at the...

    Insurance claim after accident

I crashed my 2003 Katana in 2008 while insured with Kingsway, Sand was spread over 3 of the 4 lanes in a corner and I went down sliding across the road into a ditch. So it was a single vehicle accident and I was declared at fault. Insurance priced the damage out to around $4400 IIRC. For my...

    CAA travel medical insurance

I've mentioned it a few times already on here, But we had a guy a few years back auger into the roadside on his sportster the last day of a rally on the Dragon. By the time he got back to Canada 6 weeks later his medical bills were over $250,000. Thankfully he was like yourself fully covered...

    What rifle should I buy?

It should be working now, I think their site was down last night. I think you'll be SOL though until AIA start producing more, just make sure it is an AIA (Australian International Arms) magazine and not a AI (Accuracy International) one. The AIA work with the 305B, the AI ones don't...

    What rifle should I buy?

Been looking at the 305B too, the only thing bad is the ammo costs compared to 7.62X54r or 7.62x39 surplus ammo. Do you plan on reloading to keep costs down or will you not be shooting that much? Pretty sure it's under $100, that's what I've been seeing over at CGN If you can find them, the...
