    Coverage for leathers and helmet?

Like everyone says it depends on the company. Just make sure you actually have the gear you claim you crashed in. When I was at a shop getting a quote for my gear to be replaced they mentioned a guy who claimed he crashed in some high end leathers then panicked when his insurance company ask him...

    Deals gap in October

I went down 4 or 5 years ago in mid to late October, if it rains it'll suck obviously. Leaves on the road in corners can be an issue on areas like 28 with heavy canopy and tight corners . With layers I had a great ride, the only downside was the Blue ridge parkway (cold...more layers) and the...

Tail of the Dragon to Toronto

After heading straight down via the interstate a few years, Splitting the ride into two days via US219 and the blue ridge or any twisty route is definitely more fun. And yeah 219 is nice, the farther south the better it get's.

Tail of the Dragon to Toronto

The last few years I've done Deals Gap to Rich Creek VA via the BRP for the most part, then US219 home the next day. This year I did US221 to Rich Creek and rode another 3 hours up US219 to to Elkins VA, then the rest of 219 home the next day.

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

Re: We know you ride, but do you Shoot? IIRC it's part of the "common sense" firearm legislation (C42??) that's working it's way through the system.

    Motorcycle on a trailer?

IIRC you can get trailer insurance to cover what every it is your carrying on the trailer. Some friends were coming back from a track day years ago with 2 bikes on a trailer. One was a gsxr trackbike with no insurance , the other a daytona 675 with normal insurance. A truck going the opposite...

Should i trade my bike in?

OK that makes sense, and rules out suggestions for pointing you towards adventure bikes. Talk to your broker and see what bikes are and aren't blacklisted. You could always go for something sportier with out the hit a RR will come with insurance wise.

If you travel the same route a lot you can learn where the sensors are and where to stop the bike to activate them.
