motorcycle story, last 4 posts really make you think

I saw that post a few years back, it's sad but you can't let it stop you from doing the things you do. You do what you can to minimize the risks but let's be brutally honest life at times, even off the bike can be dangerous.

    Paintballing question?

Our local paintball shop has a birthday special but it's not cheap. I'd look into if your local shop has a BYOP day, Camerons indoor paintball in Hamilton used to have days where they would have deals on cases of paint. But as others have said it's use it or loose it when your done. And BTW...

Pennsylvania - one or two days - September 17, 2011

We had a guy from Quebec get 2 leg compound fractures on the dragon, he was over $250K by the time he got back to Canada several weeks later. And yes he had coverage. It's well worth getting insurance when heading down there.

    Calculating taxes/duties at the border

It depends as the others have said. Talking to the guys the few times when I've been in paying taxes they seem to mainly just charge the taxes, but if they catch you in a lie (under declaring) they will charge the taxes and duty on any applicable items. Plus hit you with a 50%(IIRC) surcharge on...

    Turn Back the Odomider

now that's an interesting question. when I sold my Katana everything was frozen, odometer and trip meter locked up when I hit 99,999kms. Even though I did roughly report the mileage a year later at 116K. Did the viffers do the same or is it just broken?

Whats the law on speed chases?

Next time your at Timmies ask one of the PoPo's ;). Seriously though this is one of those things that the rules may say one thing but at 3am on an empty road with a bored cop you could just have a high speed chase on your hands. I know a guy that's a deputy down in Texas and he described a...

    Turn Back the Odomider

Record the mileage on the bike & record the mileage on the engine for your records, then use the bike odometer for the maintenance intervals. A little math isn't hard ;) and you should be able to figure it out. Plus if/when you sell the bike you can state the bike has XXXkms and the engine was...

Weird noise at low speed, maybe chain?

Sounds like he has a chain that has a link or two that are binding. Tell him to have a good look at the chain and see if it's leaking any of the sealed lubricant. It should look like reddish clay on the links.

    Leather suit on the street?

I see ton's of riders in leathers riding around down here, but that's on the back roads. On the highway I see more of the t-shirt and short crowd . Personally I'd recommend a 2 pc suit with a 360 zipper but that's just me. Maybe even go for perforated leather while your at it. Easy to get in...

    Beer review

It, like so many other things is a matter of personal opinion. Maybe they like what they like, or don't know better, or can't justify spending the $$ on the more expensive stuff. Personally I liked their Fiddlers Elbow over the regular Hobgoblin but I haven't seen it for sale lately or even on...
