oops.. You're right!
Thanks for the info. Can't decide between these two..

Exactly! There seems to be a few options for grooved foam seat I will likely use. If anyone else has suggestions, I am all ears!
And for those who use a SS tail, do you have problems with the fibreglass holding up?
A friend of mine racing in CBSK made the suggestion and didn't really think much about it at first, but now I know what he meant.
Right now I have a race tail but using the factory seat. Its nice and comfy but it is like sitting in a soft chair or couch and it makes moving side to side...
GSXR600:
Tear down and inspection front to rear
Slipper Clutch
Brembo 19RCS
Motion Pro Rev2 Throttle kit
Quick Shifter
New front brake lines
Replace bushings/bearings in shifter linkage or new complete rear sets(so I have spares)
SS rear tail or redo my stock seat setup to make it easier to...
Yeah, he did pull over and I like to think he called a service truck... I think what blew my mind most was that it was obvious that a simple inspection was done as there is no way the other 6 lugs came off since the last stop he made. I don't think those trucks are long haul..
Another big...
Nothing really to share here other than a story from a few weeks ago..
I was on my bike headed home in rush-hour traffic and was on the westbound ramp to the QEW from the 427. In the left lane ahead of me, I could see what looked to be a bent wheel on one of the axles of tractor/trailer gravel...
Update: Went to see Adrian to get the above work done and as usual, fantastic service! He wanted me to let everyone know he's a one man show right now as his wife is off taking care of the baby. He explained how swamped he gets with emails and calls and I can believe him as it seemed like his...
Got new tires for my track bike from Adrian. I brought in the wheels and he installed them for $30 an end since I was buying the tires from him... even got a $50 rebate. Super clean shop and cool guy!
Saturday I have an appointment to do a setup on my street SV after I did a suspension...
October hasn't been too bad so far! I attended a TMP lapping day this past Saturday and although it was wet to start, it dried up in time to allow for a few sessions. Good turn out for this particular event with nearly 30 bikes, some of which were damn fast! This was only my second lapping...
Thanks. They still need some work since I keep having to remind myself I am not in a car.
Where I really struggle is putting power down on corner exit..just not enough confidence yet.
Here is a couple laps from the second session of the day. Still cool so making sure not to push too hard and meet the pavement.
I got a lot of learning to do since this was my first lapping day after doing the FAST school(Phase one). Hell, I only got the bike a couple months ago so I was as...
What are considered decent 600 lap times on long track? I know I have seen some race results in the low 50's but how about an average time for track days.
There was a green 300 there on Saturday that was incredibly fast - was that any of you?
It was only my second track day on a bike, first being with the FAST school, and I couldn't believe how many riders went down. I honestly lost count after the first 10, so I am guessing 15-20 separate incidents. :-? I actually asked my neighbours if it was normal and they all said they were...
Interested but need to know if its a go before 6pm...I have to rent a trailer from u-haul and they close at 7pm.
Also, what is the start time/stop time for the day?
No wasn't me. I was in intermediate and was waiting until after everyone left for clear track(wasn't working out to well though). Seemed like that's what you were doing that session too. :)
Thanks for looking!
I was there too and was drooling over your bike in the morning. I did go out behind you in the second or third session and had fun chasing you! I was on the #430 gxr600 so if you got any footage let me know. :)
Update: Today was a huge success and was a big learning experience! Unfortunately for many others, they weren't as lucky. I honestly saw about 20 bikes go down today which was a massive eye opener and a surprise to a lot of people there. The turn out was huge though, roughly 60 bikes which...
I hate that the thread has taken a little bit of a negative turn but I appreciate all the advice. I've read so much in the past few days and it seems to line up with what zx600 is saying, including some post by bickle himself. On the other hand, I do appreciate all input from everyone and am...
thank you, I now understand after reading a bunch today! I have a lot to learn on two wheels!
re: tires. Are you saying that streets do not retain as much heat as a track specific tire?
