    knee and shin guards

I've heard many good things about the Vs - but =they're pretty long right? I'm just 5'3".

    ******-bag parking.

LOL I think I'm going to keep some chalk in my cage now.

Rider hit's the front brake and Over he went.....

My guess is a lot of front-end kinetic energy suddenly went downward and the back-end inertia still wanted to go forward, so it was like someone jumped on one one end of a see-saw - the back end flew forward and up.

Vololights - New Kickstarter project for motorcycles

Ditto. Also.. the video failed to show what I think is the most important angle - what other drivers see.

Rider hit's the front brake and Over he went.....

So... taxi's at fault right (from an insurance standpoint)?

Quit our jobs, sold our home and everything in it, gone riding...

Ditto. I did a 5 week trip to Colombia 3 years ago, which included Cartagena and cities/towns all over the country. I loved every minute of it, and never felt unsafe out of the normally anticipated situations.

Quit our jobs, sold our home and everything in it, gone riding...

Oh wow, I've peeked into this thread once and while but never caught the photos nor the names. Neda was one of my (awesome) riding instructors! I had heard stories of this trip happening when I took the course. Thanks for sharing your stories and photos!

Soon to be rider! Any other petite ladies?

Actually I've been pleasantly surprised, too. Weight & drag for sure has to do with it, but maybe the 2011+ revamp as well? I know changes have been mostly cosmetic, but on/off highway handling & stability is much better for sure. I reckon the new bodywork and longer wheelbase gives better...

Soon to be rider! Any other petite ladies?

I tippy-toe too, even with the triple forks raised (ie bike lowered). As much as it was nerve-wracking in the beginning, I now know that being able to flat-foot just one side comfortably (ie at a stop) is really what's more important.

Soon to be rider! Any other petite ladies?

    1. I'm in the age bracket.. 1K a year. But I have speeding tickets. 2. 5'3" around 48kg/105pounds - 2011 CBR 125. Lots of people say it's underpowered, but I have no problem getting off line or getting to 120km/h quicker than average traffic speeds. I redline at 135km/h (not tucked, not...

    Damn it! Won't start

Check fuse box? Happened once to me where I just took out and put back in the fuse spades (those tiny chips) even though none of them blew.

16th Avenue East of Woodbine, Grooved Pavement and Raised Manholes

Surprisingly the grooved pavement has been barely noticeable even with my skinny tires. The raised manholes however ...

what do you wear in summer?

Helmet, leather jacket, and leather gloves. My leather jacket is the Dainese Nikita Pelle (see below) - was ok riding today at 28 degrees as long as not too much stopping (lol). I recently ordered an A*'s Stella NYC that is a perforated leather jacket. Hopefully I'll wear that when it gets...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

I had a black ninja (what I don't know) do this to me on 401 westbound around warden a few days ago. I was going around 110-115 in the "curb lane"; Other guy whizzes past me on the left, signals into my lane, slows down and looks back at me a few times like he wants to race. He clearly didn't...

    highway baptism

My POV only. As soon as I got up to 80-95km/h range (in 70-80 zones), going into the 100s really didn't make that much difference. Relax, keep a smooth control, prepare for stupidity from other drivers, and ride with common courtesy. Never been to famous Sam's... even though I'm only 10-15...

March Against Monsanto - May 25th

I think it stems from not really understanding how victim-blaming ideology works, and why it's important to hold the perpetrators accountable.

how do you address the judge, prosecutor and cop in court?

Saw this some time ago... hilarious.
