I'm in hamilton and I've got a 500 that you can borrow... it happens to be a super sketchy RZ500 two-stroke that I'm working on it. At some points, either 1, 2, 3 or 4 cyclinders could work...
It also has no body work mounted, and would be considered by some to be a death-trap...
On second...
Perhaps you should avoid driving to work. Generally this would Put you in higher traffic and also creates some stress as you have a schedule.
Maybe heading out after work for short rides in familiar areas would be best for the first week or two.
Princess auto (not the best quality I know), actually sell a "sportbike bolt kit", that comes in a multi-compartment plastic box. It seems to have a bunch of metric bolts, washers etc.
Might be a good start.
In less than 60 seconds of searching this forum & google, I found your phone number and address. I wouldn't be worried about what they can learn from your plate.
Get a complete bike for $2K, take the fairings and part the rest?

I managed to score a 1985 RZ500 ($1900) yesterday off Kijiji. The bike had the engine rebuild a couple of years ago by someone in Hamilton. Currently, it looks like it may need some carb work and odds & ends.
I was wondering if there were any recommendations for some with 2-stroke experience...
I spend more time on kijiji than almost any human on the planet, and this is the worst POS I have ever seen. Make sure you contrast the look he was going for (pic 1) to what you get for $20k (pics 2 and on)...
I would eliminate the HIDs as a failure point by throwing the conventional bulbs back in. Hopefully, the stock wiring harness / plugs are intact. If the stock lights work, it would stand to reason that the ballast or a connection associated with your HIDs are faulty.
Although he says the ad is "self explanatory", I would require an explanation as to why a 2007 CBR1000 is selling for new 2013 MSRP (~$15.5k).

A cursory search on kijiji, by selecting dirtbike and then searching "blue plate" yielded a bunch of results, these look like alot of fun:

He wants to borrow your bike to do the m2 test... But only if it's black or red lol. What a tool

$6500 for a 12 year old Yamaha R6.... I think this ad has a place in this thread:http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-sport-bikes-2001-Yamaha-600-CUSTOM-BIKE-VERY-UNIQUE-W0QQAdIdZ507586922
I can sympathize with the OP, I'm on a CBR1100XX and looking at downgrading to a VFR800. Its just a bit too easy to settle into a 160 kmh/r cruising speed.
Make sure that you have someone competent size the furnace for you. Alot of hvac guys who are old school will "go on the big side to be safe". A modern two speed or variable speed furnace will work best when sized appropriately. Its a big investment and basing the size of your existing unit...
I'm interested as well, I would need repair of a front fender (scratches), rear cowl (scratches), and nose cone (Cracked) for a CBR1100XX.
Can I e-mail you pics? If so, whats the address?
Thanks,
Adam
Costco has a Kirkland signature branded performance golf shirt that's passable in the office, I think they're like $14. Its the dry-fit material and they don't wrinkle.
Further to Brian's point, I made a post on CBRXX about doing this exact mod on my Blackbird. Took about 1/2 hour. http://www.cbrxx.com/canada/21033-quick-dirty-2nd-brake-light-cdn-content.html
