What full face helmet do you have?

My helmet is black and it is really, really large. Black was the only colour it came in. Shoei is the brand, XXXL is the size. :-)

Port Dover: What is the draw?

This year. Last time I was in Dover for the 13th, it was Saturday the 13th. This August, the 13th is a Saturday again. :-) Last time, I had a beautiful non-congested ride there and back. I was one of maybe 5 bikes in town. Had a delicious relaxed lunch of fresh fish. It was terrific. :-)

Port Dover: What is the draw?

It has been a few years since I've been to Port Dover on the 13th. I think that I will probably go for August the 13th.

The Five Gadgets Every Motorcycle Rider Needs via: MobileSyrup.com

Well I don't 'need' any of that *****. I have heated grips already, have never owned a GPS, and my bike isn't worth worrying about getting stolen.

    Supersport to Dual Sport

Yup. The original Pilot Roads were great on gravel and dirt. But once they went with the dual compounds.... not so much. I have gotten use to hanging off the bike to try to keep it upright on the dirt in a turn. If I leaned, I got the old Pilot Power rubber contacting the road and they are...

Who's riding on the first day of spring with a nice 0-1 C

Just patched a hole in my back tire a couple of days ago and the new tires are sitting by my front door. If tomorrow is anything like today, I might risk a ride.... just to say I did. Maybe a 15km ride around 'the block'. ('the block' being Hockley Valley, Airport Rd, Mono Centre Rd, and Hwy 10).

    Supersport to Dual Sport

When I was looking for a new set of tires, I asked around a bit. I am not going to be going crazy fast, these roads/goat paths aren't made for that. But I described my riding like this..... I spend most of my kms on pavement but spend about half my time on dirt. :-)

    Supersport to Dual Sport

I am just hoping they are better than the Pilot Road II's. The pilot roads were great on all kinds of crap.... as long as you were going straight and kept the centre compound on the ground. Once leaned, the bike would slide around quite a bit. But the bike itself was great for the interesting...

Parking your bike outside at home

I don't have a garage or shed and can't get the bike inside my house. But I do have a 5' wide roof overhang just outside my front door. It would be big enough to count as a carport for the bike, except that it is too high off of the driveway. Bought a decent cover and a trickle charger for the...

    Supersport to Dual Sport

I'm in the process of switching from an FZ1 to a dualsport, but in my case I am just going to get Continental Trail Attack II tires installed on the FZ1. Then I should be able to rip up the dirt roads around here better than the Pilot Road II's I currently have. :-)

Anyone else out still riding on the nice days?

Saw one other bike today, in Belfountain. Christmas Day riding.... meh... lol Christmas Day riding without having to dress 3 layers deep... priceless. Not as nice as yesterday, had to use the grip heaters, up here in the 'hood. But it was a great day to head south. Did the Forks and then for...

Why Engagement Rings Are a Scam

I didn't get my wife a ring, when we got engaged. I bought her a car. :-)

Anyone else out still riding on the nice days?

Took a test ride on a possible new(to me) bike purchase yesterday (the 29th). If the bike had heated grips it would have been a perfect day to whip around Mississauga. :-)

    Port Dover

Nevermind. I am out. When an better offer comes along that doesn't involve freezing my balls off, going somewhere I really didn't care to go to, I have to gladly change my plans. :-)

    Port Dover

I have the day off now. But I won't be able to meet you on the way there. I might take that route on the way home, because it should be warmer, to try and survive the 120+kmph highway speeds, in the afternoon. I am taking the back way to get there, in the morning, by way of Guelph and Cambridge...

    Port Dover

I love my Pilot Roads on gravel, as long as the road isn't twisty too much, then I will have to slow down. I take my FZ1, sort of off-roading all the time. :-)

    Port Dover

Depends on where you are, I have a route planned that goes through Paris..... Ah, Paris, in the springtime..... Oh wait, it won't be springtime will it?

    Port Dover

Not that I believe in week old weather forecasts. But, just for ***** and giggles, I've started the process to book this Friday off of work. If it is approved, I may actually go this Friday to finally see if this event is as bad as I had evisioned it to be. I haven't been to Dover on the 13th...

The people who put the bike away already.

Brine had already been sprayed up here 3 weeks ago. Meh. Even though I live in a snow belt and don't have a garage, I ride whenever I can. Beyond making sure that the tank is always full, I don't winterize the bike at all. But after getting a new battery last spring, I might actually hook it...
