How do you guys shoulder check?

I like it because it gives me a full view of the road including whats behind me at a quick glance so I can see everything, plus if I'm getting on the highway and need to move over 3 lanes I can stay in the position and it makes turning my head from looking forward to looking backwards multiple...

Norfolk County / Port Dover Twisty Roads

I haven't been down spooky hollow rd in years, but the number of people that can't stay in their own lane (as well as the sand that used to gather on that road) would make me hesitant doing any spirited riding on there, especially seeing it was pretty much a path cut through the forest so if you...

How do you guys shoulder check?

for the m2 exit test I'd keep both hands on the bars and make sure its noticable that I'm turning my head for blind spot/mirror checks. Normal riding rotate my hips and *** so that I can take my hand off the bar, quickly square my shoulders which puts me about 45 degrees with the bike, very easy...

Things you can only buy in the u.s thread

You can find it in Canada, it's just hard to find. I know of 2 convience stores in St. Catharines that sell both Cherry Coke and Wild Cherry Pepsi. Same with Vanilla Coke, but that stuff just tastes gross

Capt'n Cruch with Crunchberries! Loved the cereal as a kid, was sad they stopped selling it in Canada.

    Kijiji lacks options...

Cash does talk, but words are wind. Best thing to do is find a bike you're interested in thats somewhat close to what you want to spend. Arrange a time to check out the bike, and head there cash in hand. look it over and if its mechanically sound, paperwork checks out, and it's what you're...

    Questions/opinions for you riders

Hit the nail on the head. Just like when welding, you can't look at your bike directly without eye protection without going blind

First Ride Of The Seaon - *Funny story.. I guess..*

Thankfully I've never forgot the filler cap or drain plug. But I did forget to change my filter this time. Only had about 2500km on the oil, but I figured since it sat all winter I'd change it anyways. get the job all done, start putting things away, and see the new filter in the box. I could...

Shell Rotella T6 oil on Sale at Canadian Tire

Their sale must have ended, I picked up 5L of Rotella T6 from CT for $34 on Wednesday. I've used it consistently in my bike, changed approx. every 6000km and have had absolutely no issues, even riding throughout the winter last year. It's cheap enough, JASO-MA rated, so I can't justify the...

Nanticoke to Port Dover on an FZ600

So right after the Stelco dock where it turns into Lakeshore? ;)

Nanticoke to Port Dover on an FZ600

Have they repaved riverside Drive? It's been a couple years since I've been back to Nanticoke but I remember the last time I went down riverside in a car it was choppy as **** and not something I'd be trusting with too much lean, especially on cold tires/pavement. Also figured as soon as you...

What mistakes am I going to make?

It's always a good idea to back your bike into a spot, especially if when pulling out it will be uphill. I'm almost 6'3 and 225 and fairly fit so I'm not a small guy by any stretch, and duck walking my r6 up a slope backwards can be slow and tough! Or do what I do when possible and squeeze...

    Dainese leather jacket deals

I ended up with the Crono P. Estiva! I'll agree with the flaps being an afterthought, but that didn't bother me much, they are just there to cover over the zippers when they are closed, dont seem bulky in a boot or glove, and the front is practically hidden when the suits on so it wasn't too...

Crono P. Estiva? And I really like those boots. If I didn't already have a pair of Sidis they would be my next choice!

    Dainese leather jacket deals

I picked up a Dainese entry level suit at the show, and seems to be better quality than my Astars GP-R jacket I grabbed in 2012. I also tried on one of Astars entry level suits, and the quality difference was quite noticeable. The Dainese was more expensive, but it felt like you were getting...

WHAT DO YOU RIDE and WHY?

2005 R6 because I have absolutely loved the R6 since it came out in '99. Next bike I would want either a Street Triple or FZ-09, I love the look of both of them, both are tons of fun, and both look like they are better suited for around town riding and probably more comfortable for longer rides...

    MotoGP 2014

That is most likely the case, but I wouldn't count Rossi out, he seems to have gotten more comfortable on the M1 and had very good results in testing. I think his championship days are behind him, but I think he's going to be on the podium more often than he was last year I'm looking forward...

    MotoGP 2014

I would'nt say it's stifling development. It's providing an even footing electronically for all riders. Honda and Yamaha, as well as all other manufacturers are able to contribute to the software and help make it better with their existing code. The only stifling to future development I can see...
