All the gear all the time?

Re: ALL THE GEAR ALL THE TIME? When riding to work I'm in helmet, Alpinestars leather jacket, my Five RFX-1 gloves, jeans and usually a pair of addidas hiking boots (sometimes just runners). Leisurely rides I throw on my Sidi Vortices but keep the jeans, and anything with a potential for a...

Question before i buy bike tomorrow

From my understanding, if the bike is equipped from the factory with hazard lights, they would need to be working to pass a safety, same with the m2 exit test, if the bike has them they have to work. Depending on where you take it for the safety and if the hazard button is easy to miss they may...

    Insurance for YZF R6

Never ever trust an online quote. Call them, and when they give you a quote, ask them to email it to you. Quotes are good for 30 days from what I remember seeing on quotes I was given when I was looking for insurance, so as long as you have the documentation for the quote all you'll need to do...

    MotoGP 2014

Cal was being pretty critical of Yamaha and the bike well before they signed Pol, and (it's been a long time since then so I may be mistaken) but I think Cal mentioned something that he was in talks with Tech3 for a one year extension but he wouldn't settle for anything less than a factory ride...

    MotoGP 2014

I also really liked Cal, but I agree the fact he was consistently whining nearly every race last season really wore thin pretty quick. It also seemed like he was in it for a paycheque rather than to be competitive. Yes it was a factory ride instead of satalite, but everyone knew it would be a...

What's up GTAM? Its been a while

It's very inflated for 1st gens, and a couple hundred more than I would expect a good gen2 to be priced at. When I was looking at r6 prices in 2011, average price for a 1st gen was mostly between 3k and 4k. in 3 years you would expect prices to drop down a bit, but the average price seems to...

What's up GTAM? Its been a while

also 30k is nothing. As long as the regular maintenance, you'd have nothing to worry about. My 2005 r6 is about to break 70k, and its still running strong. Nothing wrong with bikes with a little mileage

    MotoGP 2014

It has been a bad start to the year so far for Yamaha, and Lorenzo in particular, I'm quite dissapointed as at the end of last season he was riding probably the best he's ever ridden, and it's a real shame he wasn't able to carry that over to this season yet. I really think that crash at Qatar...

How thieves should be dealt with

I agree with Paul, a little extreme. I hate theives as much as the next guy, but from the sounds of it if the randsom had not been paid they would have stayed tied to the tree and would have died

trying to decide between these two...(helmets)

If I had to pick one of those 2, I would take the Darth Maul. Personally though in that price bracket you should seriously take a look at the HJC RPHA-10. Some nice graphics to be had with that model, it's light, wind noise isn't too bad, super comfy, Snell certified, and designed in MotoGP...

    Tire pressure question

I'm running 32-36 for everyday driving around town on my q3's, when I do any long trips that are all highways I'll bump up the psi to 34-38, and once the spirited rides start to happen I'm gonna drop down to 30-30 then adjust accordingly to bike feel for that particular ride

What basics are you wearing to go for a ride?

I always wear my full face helmet, leather armored jacket, and gauntlet gloves. When riding to/from work, or running errands I'm in a pair of adidas hiking boots and jeans. when out for a nice ride I'll swap the adidas boots for my Sidi Vortice boots, and when I'm going on spirited rides I keep...

How often to you clean chain

probably not as often as I should..... I usually clean and lube my chain every 2-3 tanks, or if I've been out all day doing spirited riding. I also try to make sure to clean and lube after riding in the rain. I use kerosene and a grunge brush to clean, wipe down chain with rag, use a soft...
