Not sure if I already posted this - but the 2 second 0-60 is a false rumour. As the Omega hits 60 in 1.79 seconds with 2000 crank HP and the 1700 crank HP R1KX hits it in 2.05, it just doesn't work according to the math. That and the source had no source at all for the news.
The transmission issue was really a 2009 thing. There was a weak circlip and a poorly tuned launch control that caused wheel hop. They improved the circlip (although that is still one of the first things one does to beef up their transmissions aftermarket even further on bigger builds) and...
Ya...I'm not too certain about that...there are rumours the NISMO and MY2015 GTR are getting new 7 speed transmissions - so without knowing more about its capabilities I guess its possible. That said, my car is capable of a 2.4 0-60 but I am running 1000 crank HP on pump gas. The only GTR I have...
Hmmm. I would say if you took the GTR out of the hole and 4-5 seconds later he catches and passes you - that was indeed a modified GTR. The GTR's launch is responsible for much of its good 1/4 mile time. When my car was at the P600 level I would 1/4 10.8 at 130 MPH with a good launch and...
As far as modding GTR's goes - this has been my experience as well. At least not for long...;) That said - as per my original post - bikes are still the kings of the hill (especially out of the box). As per the other gentlemans comment - for sure newer versions of (especially litre) bikes will...
Well - I checked a 2003 R1 and the internets say 10.8 1/4 ET which is still faster or as fast (2014) than any stock GTR so it really depends on your trap speed which I didn't see. I usually use trap speed versus ET for a roll race as in my experience, it best denotes the bikes/cars raw power (up...
Hi everyone, new to the forum...Saw this thread by accident and thought I could contribute...I can tell you that bikes - for the most part - still rule the streets. An older stock GTR cannot beat a new 600. A 2012-2014 GTR would likely hold (2012) or maybe slightly pull on (2013-2014) a new 600...
