First beautiful day and someone hits my bike (happy ending)

don't kill me for not knowing this (I just got back into riding) but I just googled "pazzo lever" and that's what I have, with the 6 point adjustment switch haha. sooo, spot on good sir!

here's what the est says Ducati Clutch Lever: $149.99 Ducati Mirror: $82.99 Repaint Tail section: $250.00 Bar End Slider: $37.95 Labour: $90.00 plus tax I guess a bit pricey for the clutch? it wasn't stock so he said he would quote me for a decent one and charge what it actually cost.

First beautiful day and someone hits my bike (happy ending)

Saturday morning around 11am I pull my bike out of my garage and walk it around to the front of my house, about 3 feet behind a black Jetta. walk up onto my patio to grab my helmet and heard someone yelling. turn around to see the Jetta back into my bike and knock it over. Heart sinks. he...

    BikeCop

I know it's not their job but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be cost-effective to hire a private investigator (or 3, or 5) outfit some bikes with trackers and catch motorcycle thieves. If this project costs $15,000 and busts a ring responsible for dozens of thefts, is it not a sound business...

    BikeCop

This is a legitimate question and I wish I had an answer. We're talking about a real process to catch real bad guys. 1. build a dummy bike 2. fill it to the tits with sensors and gps so you know when it moves. 3. catch whoever stole it 4. Rinse/Repeat and not even police, why doesn't an...

A log book (or nowadays an app) is a good idea, my accountant recommended i start using one. OP could also do that for his bike, but like I said, risk/reward.

    Value of Parking Ticket: $150

I've never had a court date for a parking ticket, is the parking enforcer required to show up?

    Value of Parking Ticket: $150

wow, you're right. OP, I still recommend asking for a trial/meeting, if for no other reason than it will give you a while to save up the cost of the ticket, and the judge may still toss the ticket for an unknown reason. (maybe he got a beeg the night before)

    Value of Parking Ticket: $150

sucks man. agree with eljay, be more careful when you park, commuting in this city sucks donkey nuts as it is, people tying up lanes during rush hour makes it that much worse. that having been said here's what you do. the ticket will have a location on it you can go to file a dispute, I think...

hahaha, oh god no, but good luck! actually pm me if you want some tips, there's lots of things you CAN legally write off if you do it right.

no problem, sorry to say but your accountant is incorrect and they should know better. even if this was a car and not a bike, and you had a second car, and one was exclusively for work and the other for pleasure, you still can't write off 100% of the costs, only up to 90% or so. the reasoning...

This is incorrect my friend, you're gonna get yourself into serious trouble. It doesn't matter if the vehicles are on the same policy (they aren't anyway, I'm with statefarm and my cars are one policy and the bike is another slip) If you're a real estate agent and you've registered a...

see my post. you don't write off one and not the other. if he actually claims it's a legitimate business expense, he can claim purchase price, taxes, insurance, gas, paid parking (not parking tickets)

literally not a single person said "don't start on a 600" 7 people said "welcome" 1 person asked if he considered a smaller bike at any point in deciding I shared my personal story of my first bike, from a cost standpoint. then we started talking about write offs and various things. did you...

You can't. I mean, you can, but you're asking for trouble. You can write off any vehicle if it's used specifically for your business, so if he's a courier but that's about it, and even then, one look at your return by someone with a basic knowledge of bikes and welcome to Auditland! source...
