We all know if the US online retailer uses UPS that you'll get hit with the customs, duty and HST. If the online retailer uses United States Postal Service, what do you pay?

I would agree with this post. Due to the early very humid temps outside most people I see are not wearing full leathers. I've seen a lot of t-shirts and jeans. The gear guys are wearing their textile jacket and jeans, hardly see leather pants.

Seems like this transaction is not going too smoothly. What's your gut say? When shopping for a bike/car, know that this isn't the last great deal you will see. Be patient. OP, it doesn't seem like you are too comfortable and are looking for forum members to validate that this deal is legit...
OP, just relax. No point in worrying about theft etc. go with your gut when dealing with people and buying things. It's the lien that should be your main concern. Just go with him to the bank and get a letter on official letterhead stating that nothing is owed on the bike and find out if/when...
For the course try to see if you could borrow some stuff from friends that ride. The reason I say this is because what if you don't like riding? I'd say after the course get the best gear that you can afford. As you get more experience you'll realize what gear works for you.

Yesterday at about 1:30 pm (Bovaird and Chingacousy)saw two bikes being towed and two cruisers at the scene. See a lot of dudes ripping it up on Chingaucousy north of Bovaird. Slow down there are always cops there.

This is the type of mature/knowledgeable post that we need. Very sad for the young rider and his family. So many things wrong with the picture e.g. 1) newer rider on 675r 2) newer rider on group ride that's taking the highway, etc. It's so hard not to pass judgement. Ride safe everyone...
Blocking position is important. However, only effective if drivers look. One rule I employ when on the bike, I ride as though I am invisible.

Ahh...yes an ATGATT thread, I think the motorcycle season has officially started. On another note, people say I only gear up for long rides etc. Whether your trip is two minutes or two hours it only takes one second to go down. You are either a gear guy or you are not. BTW, it's your skin...
So would we consider the GoPro Hero 2 Motorsport Edition on sale at Best Buy for $199 a good deal or is Contour Roam a better choice?

Hello all, last year I bought a 2009 R6 with 4200 kms. The front has the stock Dunlop tire and the rear has a new Shinko Advance 005. The front tire is wearing down and will need to be replaced this season. Here is my question
A) Replace the front with a Shinko? I know Shinko are a little...
Take the course my friend. Hell, we are all in a budget these days. Motorcycling is VERY expensive. Don't forget that you also have to buy gear.

Welcome there are many nice roads just north of Brampton (Forks, Terra Cotta, Belfountain, etc.). Many guys meet up at the Tim Hortons on Bovaird and MacG

Don't buy the 400r, Too heavy for the displacement. Also when you want to sell it you'll lose big time as people don't really want it because of all the aforementioned reasons in this thread.
