Worlds End (my favorite) has a great swimming hole, Hyner and Sizerville have pools , other parks have beach areas. There are other beautiful State Parks in the area ! Worlds End and nearby village Eagles Mere are truly spectacular! Auto museum in Eagles Mere has a decent collection of classic...

What about 250 east of Monterey and 33 east of 28? In Petersburg, Saucy's Walk Up is a must for bbq. The Brickhouse Run is also good. In Cumberland, I like The Crabby Pig and Ristorante Ottaviani. If you go to Crabby Pig, you can park under the bridge, but do not park on old brick...they will...

Roads east of 15 are just as good, you won't be disappointed. You can base out of Wellsboro,Williamsport or one of the B&B's in Eagles Mere. Residents of this town are super friendly, mostly elderly. Don't be surprised if they ask you to join them for dinner and a home made pie.

You can find some good roads north/east of Williamsport, between 15 and US81 and south of NY State Line. Some of my favourites: 864, 87, 42 loop to Eagles Mere, 154 to Worlds End State Park and beyond, 14, 414, 187, 367.
