    Clutching Problem

If you buy a 125/250 you won't have any (big) problems with the clutch. OP is having problems because they ride a bigger bike. Those smaller bikes are a lot more noob friendly.

    Have quite a big problem.

Check NCK. Don't know much about them but stumbled across their website as they were listing a bike for sale on Kijiji. Needless to say after I realized they were a salvage shop I realized why the bike was so cheap. http://www.nckcycle.com/

    Insurance difficulties

I got my bike about a year after I did my course. I don't think I forgot much if anything, but as always you need to practice to hone your skills. You shouldn't worry at all about the time between doing your course and your first bike. It's not like the only learning you do is at the course...

    Atgatt

My mesh jacket doesn't flow as much air as I thought it should. But yeah I was out in full gear. Didn't see anyone but squids either.

    What caused your crash?

I feel like I'm in a support group. "Thanks for sharing!" Newbie here, haven't crashed yet. Knock on wood. Almost rode into a curb taking a corner too fast on my first day but Keith Code saved me. I didn't panic and I looked down the road.

    Can I borrow gear?

I did my course with an ordinary leather jacket and gloves and boots from when I worked construction. Oh and my helmet didn't have a visor. I was super cool.

    Insurance difficulties

That's weird, how can they not give you a quote? They don't have to print it, if they give you a quote it's saved in their system. It might also have a reference number. Not many people sell bikes in the winter. It's easier to buy a bike in the fall (less buyers) but I don't think you will...

Dropped my bike the first time.

Sucks that you dropped it, but be happy that is the extent of the damage.

does break in period mean I cant go on highways??

Yes it does mean that. Following break in sucks but you should still do it.

    would it be disrespectful??

There are other boards that discuss things like that. A rider crashing or dropping his bike in the GTA isn't much different from other places in the world.
