    Dealing with windy days

So I'm still a bit of a newbie. I've read up and try to do my research but I haven't found too much tips on dealing with high wind. I noticed it today, kind of ruined my trip to Lindsay. It was a nuisance more than anything but on the way back on the 115 there was a point where I didn't feel...

    delivery on helmets

Go for it. I haven't ordered anything across the border but I have ordered online. Of course you have to be concerned with who is handling your helmet, but I think for the most part they are well packed. What helmet are you looking to get? Check out sportbiketrackgear.com

    Brake light adjustment?

So I'm still fairly new on my bike (09 Ninja 250). And I realized the other night that my brake light doesn't come on when I thought it did. I have to push the rear brake a lot harder before the light actually comes on. Is there any way of adjusting this so the light comes on with a lighter...

    Bike parking at Oshawa ribfest?

http://www.oshawaribfest.com/ It says free parking and overflow parking at the Oshawa mall. I'm sure you will find a place for your bike and if not, ride around until you do.

How much is a safety certificate worth?

Most shops I've asked quoted me about 75$. Keep in mind that those are their asking prices, not what they would actually sell the bike for. I would stay away from "as is" bikes. If the guy can't care enough to get a piece of paper for you he likely can't care enough to take good care of the bike.

    250 to a R6?

Make sure you get insurance quote before you realize you can't afford the bike. But if you want to upgrade and can afford it, do it. Just don't do it stupid.

    Leather suit on the street?

Appreciate the feedback so far. It's not that I care what other people think, I'm concerned about dropping that kind of dough and realizing it's so inconvenient that I don't want to wear it. Obviously a two piece is more convenient, if I want to just wear the jacket and jeans I can. But the...

    Leather suit on the street?

Hey all. So call me crazy but I'm considering (eventually buying) a track suit for every day riding. I don't know anyone or even seen anyone that does this in Toronto, but that doesn't say much because I mostly see people in shorts and tee shirt and I don't know that many riders. Right now I...

    First oil change

Thanks for the feedback btw. It went really well, and I think the bike runs a lot better now.

ok, which brand of kevlar jeans offers the best protection

You should also look at Sliders brand kevlar pants. They come in jeans and cargos. I have a pair of their jeans with armor and I like them. The armor may very well fall out of place should I have an accident but that can be said about any pant. It's better to wear your armor strapped to your...

    Looking for a backpack!

+1 On making sure everything is zipped up. I was thinking to myself, if I ever find myself without my drivers license or insurance I'll just ride around with my bag unzipped. I wonder if the cops would let me off.

Do you crank it up beyond reasonable limits?

Same place other direction. Turning left out of the Flea market.

Do you crank it up beyond reasonable limits?

Funny you mention it. I don't usually but today in Pickering turning onto Bayly I was waiting forever (behind cars) for the light to change. I didn't get through the first green and barely the second and when I did I accelerated to about 100 to get past this minivan. What do I see in front of...

    First oil change

Hi all, I'm about to do my first oil change on my Ninja 250. I'm hoping it's been done a few times already since it's got about 9000 km's on it. I'll be following a guide so I pretty well know what to expect, but I have a few silly questions. Do I really need a torque wrench? Can I pick up...

    Ninja 250r - newbie question

I'm guessing the pictures are a State Farm thing. I didn't need this with TD. But you won't be able to get on the road without insurance. You can get temp plates if you don't have a safety but no insurance means no driving.
