Hi MacDoc - I got a Honda CB300R. Aside from the M2 course, this is the only bike I've ever ridden so I cant compare it to anything else. I will say that it feels bananas fast to me. I was in Cairns a while back. I got some extended family in Melbourne. What are you riding over there?

Thanks for the welcomes - ya I'm definitely on board with wearing all the gear. It's robs a bit of spontaneity from a ride, but I can't imagine doing it any other way. I've wiped out on bicycles before and that's bad enough!

Early forties, finally got myself sorted out. Licenced last fall and landed a 300cc naked bike. Did some emergency maneuver practice in an empty parking lot in East York yesterday. Can't believe I waited so long to do this. What a blast.
