anyone trade up from a Ninja 250r to a Suzuki DRZ400SM?

I recently traded from a 250 to a DRZ 400 SM, and it's a decision I will never regret. I never thought I could have soo much fun on a bike until I rode a supermoto, it's just a blast! Oh and actually, I ride a lot more major highways on my supermoto then I ever rode on my 250. Even with only 5...

Buying my first sport bike soon...signed up to the forum to look around and get ideas

Just to clarify what I meant, the reason I said stay away from the Honda 500's series was because.. 1. Brand new line of series, so wait a year til they sort out the bugs 2. Brand new bike, brand new DROPPED bike:D 3. Your first bike won't be your last, so don't fork out tons of money Now I...

    Sv650sa

Yes but SF goes by CC Try Dalton Timmis insurance, I got a quote for a brand new one for 3800/year (Full Coverage)which is pretty cheap considering my age -20, only have been licensed for 2 years, no claims.

    Tinted/smoked visors at night?

I have an Icon Variant/Gold visor and I wear that day n night, I can see out of it just fine. Only time I have to lift it though is when I want to go through a dirt trail where there is 0 lighting.

Icon variant helmet I what's it like a thigh speeds

I have an Icon Variant, I dont notice too much baffling and I listen to music when I ride so I can't say much for the noise. It's a kick *** helmet though and really comfortable, I got a gold visor with mine too so I feel like Master Chief.

Looking for people to do some dual sporting with.

We should all go for a ride, like the majority here I'm new to off-roading. I own a supermoto and don't have knobbies so I can't do anything too hardcore off-road but still would try. I'm in Newmarket but it's not a big deal to travel to some spots.

New rider here.. just a few questions after my first experience riding in traffic

As others have said, wind is something you'll get use to. I can't speak much on the gearing on your 650 but cruising at 3-4 RPM sounds about right, but then again, my bike doesn't have a tach. I just go by what sounds right for the bike and what feels right. Wait til you get out on the 400's, I...

I saw you ( speed trap version)

Green lane and Harry Walker just off the 404 in Newmarket, a little ways out for most of you but it's a long stretch of road and I've seen a few cruisers just sitting there parked behind industrial buildings.

    2012 Ninja 250

I can understand why he would want it towed, I had my first bike towed. It was a great way to learn the bike in the comfort of my own driveway/street rather then out on a busy road where people suck at driving. You're already bored with your 250 O.o? Start hitting some twisties, or learn to...

Is Suzuki of Newmarket still bad?

I bought a new bike from there (knowing their history), I dealt with Dan and he was good- not pushy and he actually rides... Service...Okay, so I buy a brand new bike and it was about time for a 1000km service. I was told when I purchased it that they would get me a spot available no problem...

Is there new 2011 CBR125R still left? And price?

I know the feeling of wanting a new bike, trust me. I purchased a brand new 250 as my first bike and thought "Hey! It's a 250, I won't get bored of it- I'm going to keep it FOREVER:D:D::D!". 'One Season Later' "WTF IS THIS? I WANT MORE POWER!!!!" It's great to start on a small bike but most new...

    New Member, New Rider!

Call around and see, sadly it's unlikely. Your first year, you're going to be paying a lot because lack of experience. I went with TD insurance when I was 19, had my M1, 0 years driving experience, and paid $4000.00/year fora 2012 Honda CBR 250RA. One year later, I changed my policy to Dalton...

Teach me how to do a wheelie?

+1 believe it or not, a Honda CRF 50 is probably the best bike you can learn how to wheelie.

Teach me how to do a wheelie?

+1, I don't know where you're getting your info from. I get a reward from doing it, it's called an accomplishment- a thrill. I don't "stunt" but do know how to wheelie...sorta. If you want to learn how to wheelie, first off, look at your bike....shiny bike!!!! Picture it all scratched up...
