those are BLASPHEMOUS words not allowed on this thread
:angryfire::angryfire::angryfire:
i'm your weight and 5 inches shorter. with your height you would fit a WR250R better than I do, and it has plenty of pep. spend a bit more on the bike now, if you decide you don't like dualsporting you will get almost all your money back if you sell it. the suspension is fine for my riding style...
Re: Bethany 2016 Roll Call - Sunday April 17
There is a group of us that ride to the Bethany start up point every year. We meet at the tim hortons at Morningside and Sheppard roughly 730am. (be a bit earlier if you want to have breakfast). Kickstands up at 8 sharp. we noodle through some back...
Re: Bethany 2016 Roll Call - Sunday April 17
If you have knobbies you should be fine. I've done it on a DR and that's heavier

Re: Bethany 2016 Roll Call - Sunday April 17
rode some sections of the bethany last friday....mud but overall the driest i have seen this early in the year because of lack of snowfall i think. week before was farting around with the grom. not sure if i will bring the wr or the grom to bethany
usually see some good accidents where you have a highway off ramp going onto a road with no stop light or intersection such as the eastbound 401 markham road exit
4 minutes. Did you have any type of theft protection on your bike? Two guys walking in an riding it out does not sound like professional thieves, more like opportunistic ones. If pros want your bike they will take it. At best you can make it a bit more difficult in the hopes they will pass yours...
a bunch , maybe a dozen or more, going for a get dirty causal ride Friday. Leaving tims morningside and sheppard at 9am. heading bethany way. i would honestly say knobblies required. all welcome to come meet some of us dual sporters
everyone wants the best for the least. I would much rather live on a warm year round island somewhere but they have poor wages and hurricanes. I would like Toronto pay with country expenses. May as well throw in a wife that doesn't complain. aint gonna happen unless you get really lucky, and if...
DemonPig check out IBAR Ontario on facebook. A couple hundred members with many small group impromptu rides posted thru the year, the most recent was up to and on lake simcoe last weekend :lmao:
of course , thats why i said personally. to each their own.
i enjoy the planning part of the ride as well which includes programming gas stations and camping areas into my gps. have done the north eastern states and never ran out of fuel. would rather be annoyed with 20lbs+ of fuel under my butt...
personally i fail to see the glamour of having a enormous fuel tank for everyday riding. the dr650 range is roughly 160km to reserve, i have traveled on some long rides and never once did i regret having to stop, fill up and stretch every hour and a half. i do mount on a rotopack or two when i...
update to this post-got my renewal from TD, they bumped my rate to over $900. did some rate comparing and am now with Desjardin (who will do bikes only but you have to call) and have gotten it for $406 thats with liability and specified perils no collision
