Sounds like the Rectifier/regulator is over charging the battery, the battery is toast for sure. happened to my old fzr. Went through 2 batteries before swapping out the R/R.

I say drill a anchor in to the ground and use a hardened steel chain. Set it up so there is no room to get at the chain. Bolt cutters need leverage. Couple if guys have this setup in my building and there bike are untouched after several thefts in the garage.
