Yep, that's me. Funny you should mention that. My new stator, reg/rec came in the mail yesterday. Purchased from Electrosport in CA. They were the last part's I needed before I could bolt everything back together. Going to be a busy weekend but hope to have her ready to go by Sunday. Will have...
Just picked this up and in the process of a budget restoration to make her road worthy again. 1984 GS550EF

Don't forget the odd 125's!
The roads weren't too bad today but the heavy layer of salt everywhere inclines me to put her into storage (after a quick wash).
It's too bad because I remember past seasons when riding into mid December was doable.
There are a lot of things I like to do on a bike. However parking conveniently isn't one of them.
That's truly a good deed. Makes me wonder if similar logic struck whomever did it to me. Although today wasn't nearly hot enough to make a cbr125 sink into the asphalt. I don't think it ever gets...
I stopped into Yorkdale earlier today and parked in a space right beside a curb outside the movie theatre. Came out about 40 minutes later to my bike facing the opposite direction. Stood there confused, and looked around for any potential suspects/witnesses. Nobody was around I proceeded to do a...
I agree with GreyGhost. I have also observed that if riding a sport bike - taking off the fairings and thus eliminating those aerodynamic efficiencies makes the crosswinds less dramatic.
Can't say that I completely understand the science behind it, but it proved to work during that one windy...
Just made a run to the store to test it out. 35 in 1st, 11.5k Red line (can go to 12 but don't want to strain it).
Edit: I should have mentioned Indicated. Probably closer to 25.
You: Beautiful Red/Silver MV Agusta F4? headed WB on 401 at 427. You were in full black Dianese leathers.
Me: White cbr125. I sat up and waved as I past you pretending that I wasn't fully tucked for the last 2 km trying to catch up.
Just wanted to say I love your bike.
That does not surprise me at all. With the insurance rates at what they are these days, I'm not even sure if anyone under 40 would be able to afford to ride a busa.
To the Red/Black Hayabusa Rider in full Joe Rocket leathers traveling eastbound via QEW>Lake Shore>Queen>Kingston @ around 4 PM today, this post is for you.
Usually I don't post addressing ****** bags on the road because there are just too many of them, however you are the Poster Boy for them...
Today at around 7:30 am, going westbound on the 401.
You: Black SV650, carbon slip-on exhaust, red helmet w/ funky designs
Me: White CBR125
Nice staggered form we had going for awhile until you found a gap in traffic and took off. I made some pretty awful lane decisions.
I hate traffic.
Amen. OSAP will bite those in the *** who think it's free money - sooner or later. I came across this thread with the same question as the OP. Glad I found some useful information. I have a truck and a cbr125 (both probably less then $3000 in total), but OSAP accepted me. Regardless, I'm selling...
Judging by the condition of the car it would not surprise me one bit if the guy didn't have insurance. I will pursue the situation and follow up with the police at the collision centre on Monday. The officer I dealt with when filing the report was really helpful and hopefully he's still there...
Update!
I got a call from my insurance company (Jevco) and the agent on the phone said that because of the system he's using, its nearly impossible to trace the Quebec license plate. The claim has since been closed and wont reflect on my insurance.
That's pretty silly IMHO. I'm going to go to...
I will. I was told I can go check up on the status of the incident next week. That's the exact reason why I filed the claim in the first place. He obviously needs to be sitting on a porch rather then behind the wheel of a 2+ ton Lincoln.
