I find with RC you need to know what you want and the cost before you go. That way you dont have to talk to anyone. Just grab your stuff, pay and get out. For items like oil and tires they are very competitive.
Whoevers name is on the ownership is who the bank will provide the release letter to. Think about it. The lien is against your property (if its in your name) which means they can take it away from you without notice. You need a letter from them saying they no longer have any interest in the vehicle
Too Lazy to read the whole thread. I suspect that for the most part the only bikes that will fail are the abnoxioulsy loud Harleys (or other cruisers)with the straight through pipes. As I have said before I like the sound of a nice pipe but some of them are just stupid loud and really do...
Yeah I dont think I would go back although I may just ride the road since I am blue plated and go by the pits and see whats happening. As long as the road is open I guess they will never be able to stop people from going in there. It really is like something out of a Mad Max movie with some of...
I am curious what ever happened to the Raglan pits. Haven't been there since 2009. Did some googling and didnt find much. Did they ever close it down or are the hooligans still showing up every weekend ?
Theres a fellow on Thumpertalk riding a KTM 450 EXC. If you are not familiar with this model it has a 37" seat height and he is only 5'6". So it can be done if you are determined.
Pretty cool. You have to think they must have modified the shocks somewhat to be doing those speeds and jumps on that rough terrain. First time I have seen one of those "sand" tires. Strange design with the paddles.
I find their SS bikes are priced too high. Then again most used SS bikes are priced too high when you can get a new one for $8K + tax. I paid
$10K for a brand new 2004 R6 back in 2004. And that was considered a good deal then.
Actually this is incorrect. Every Manufacturer demo day I have ever been to ( and I have been to a few) you are not responsible for damage. And I must say that I have seen 3 or 4 people bin bikes on demo days and do some significant damage without being charged for it.
Whats with "some" Bike shops refusing to install tires unless you bought them there ? And I dont buy that its a liability issue as I know of at least one well respected racing bike shop that will install tires not purchased there. I can take a set of performance car tires to any auto shop in...
Went out to Raglan again today. Not as many people there this week but everyone seemed to be worried about the cops showing up. This will be my last time there this year. Ganny opens next weekend. Better trails and you can ride legally
I normally ride the Ganny but as mentioned it doesn't open until May. Whats interesting about Raglan is no matter how hard the police try they never seem to be able to stop people from riding there. My understanding is the road (if you can call it that) is an unassumed road which I would guess...
Anyone riding Raglan lately ? Was out today. It always amazes me some of the crazy vehicles you see there.Lots of dort bikes as well although the ATV's seem to be almost taking over.
Doesn't really matter whether he spent $10 or $0 if his story is true. Every customer should be treated and spoken to in a civil manner. I cant say whether this actually happened or not but if it did I wouldn't go there. I guess all you can do is judge for yourself by giving them a try on...
Aside from some of the scary advice from the poster since his bike is obviously either a dual sport or offroad the easiest way to work on that is with a motocross stand. You can pick one up for about $60.00. Of course it only works on dirt bikes.
I am sure he is joking about everythign else...
I took mine back in May and passed no problem, I talked to the guy before me and he said when he was asked to do an emergency stop he was on a bridge that had signs saying "no stopping" So he kept going and then the examiner asked him again to stop, finally he stopped. When he finished he got...
