He was pretty thorough with the two safeties he did for me. With disc brakes on most bikes it doesn't require a lot of dismantling to safety a bike.
Stuff like tires, horn, lights can be checked in two minutes. Wheel bearings, steering head, swing arm; up on the hoist then take it for a ride.
If he has no luck at all then perhaps you should consider paying him to do volunteer work.
$5 per hour to do something charitable like push old people in wheelchairs around in nursing homes or something like that.
The hospitals are another option or local food bank.
Maybe do a search for...
Why would you want to buy a Ducati after the way they handled the plastic gas tank fiasco? For those that don't know, they switched to plastic gas tanks back in 2005 or 6 and the plastic was softened by gas or the alcohol that is in modern gas. The replacent cost in the U.S. was $1900. After a...
There are brands that I'm not fond of or don't understand:
Harley Davidson, Ducati
Both seem to be expensive, high maintenance and of questionable quality.
I guess I have enough of that with the wife.
I went there last year and they said they couldn't give me any info on the part I wanted because Honda Canada's system was down and if I went to anothe dealer they'd have the same problem. Next time I went back the guy behind the counter was talking to a regular customer before me about how...
This doesn't make sense to me. I thought the purpose of the ethanol was to improve the octane rating so the 91 rated gas should have more ethanol in it.
Of course I spent the first 30 years of my life breathing in lead fumes so I ain't too bright.
FYI for some of you, They used to create higher...
I am thinking about buying a newer Buell Lightning (2007 or 2008) and I was wondering where I could get it repaired. I am sure that a Harley dealer would do it but from what I've read on this site about Jacox and Toronto Harley (that went teats-up) I'm not too enthusiastic about going the...
Okay, you better be sitting down for this one. Back in the '80s I knew a guy who used to get up on a Sunday morning and smoke a couple of joints, then him and the wife AND the kid would take off to Niagara Falls on his 1976 yamaha 650. They had a chrome lugage rack on the back of the bike that...
I recently saw a documentary on corn and I was surprised that they actually use corn to make the ethanol. I always thought they used the "leftovers' like the stalks etc. Plus, the farmer (in the U.S.) doesn't make any money on the corn itself. All of his income is from the government subsidy. WTF
That's for sure. I live in Woodbridge and the people here are just as bad as in Markham. The only difference is that here they do the same stupid stuff at a higher rate of speed.
