So are both left and right CAR headlights focused to the right? The link the OP posted was for a car and if the mounting is correct it would totally work with no aiming to the right as a problem.

But if the horn makes a really weak attempt at a sound when you have it hooked directly to a battery don't go out and buy a new horn right away you can try to tune it back to life by turning the tuning screw in the rear of the horn. Small increments only, then retest on battery until good...

You're all correct, it was more of a practice back in the day but it doesn't seem to be true anymore.
It's like they decided it wasn't worth the trouble or cost to have them match.
