I just literally have to do knowledge and eye sight and then M2exit test. You can skip all the middle bit.
This is what applies in my case. They already have my licence history recorded.

This is an awesome offer and I really appreciate it Jamie.
I'm still trying to figure out the best solution for me. Will peak to work tomorrow and see about getting a couple of hours off one morning to get the knowledge test out the way.
As for lending things out not quite lending a bike but...

I'm just under 6ft. My bike in the UK was a 2004 R6 then after I sold that I had a Suzuki RF600R for a short time.
I haven't got anything booked as yet as I was looking into the best option to do it.
I popped down to GP bikes yesterday just to get an angle on what I would be spending...
I'm not really interested in the Kijiji route if legality could be an issue.
I doubt any company would hire to an M1 holder. It's a shame I cant find a local safety course which would supply a bike.
JUst trying to find the best compromise for my needs an a first year insurance cost which I...
I'm looking at getting my M before the season is out.
I'm from the UK and been riding since 2007 and had my licence history recorded byt the MTO when I swapped my licence for a G. So once I pass the knowledge test I'm good to go and take the full M.
I was looking at doing it via the route of...
Basically I'm starting to get the ball rolling in terms of obtaining my bike licence since I moved here a couple of weeks back.
As I am from the UK my riding history has been recording which means I need to pass the written paper and can take my M2X straight away.
I have contacted ridersplus...
Well now I'm officially in Whitby I thought I would actually introduce myself.
Posted on here a couple of times already. I'm from the UK been riding since 2007. Bike history is a Yamaha XT125R (learner) 2004 Yamaha R6 and then a Suzuki RF600R which I had pictures posted in the over 15 year old...
I sympathise with the first bike dilemma. I'm currently looking at what I may get although I am still some time away from it.
The only thing is it's not my first bike. First proper bike was an 04 Yam R6 after my 125 for a few months as a learner. However with insurance as it is in Canada and...
Driver awareness is the key to it. But you need to educate drivers to look for bikes and that takes big tv campaigns. Who is going to fund that?
We need to ride defensive. Although how do you defend from someone cutting in front of you? Slow down? But then you are giving them more of the window...
I will be moving over in June and plan on getting the test out the way early on whilst I'm not working and have the funds available.
I don't want to be 5 years down the road regretting not doing it whilst I had the chance.
I did a search and came across this thread after reading about the NC700 in this months Motorcycle Monthly.
It ticks a few boxes for me so thought I would check to see what the price was in Canada. In the UK they have it listed as £5850 on the road. So all things being equal it would put it...
I was wondering if grey imports fetched the same as the official counterparts that's all.
The reason I ask is because i'm in the UK and generally a foreign import will not get the same price as a UK spec would. Insurance is also generally a bit higher on an import.
Just trying to establish...
Useful info.
I've only been riding in the UK since 2007 so not quite the 20 years but certainly put a few miles under my belt in the time. It concerns me for the same reason as you said. you just don't want to look like a tool when you have already been riding.
Fingers crossed I wont have...
If you were to sell the bike now would you be able to command the Canadian asking price or are import bikes harder to sell / sell at a lower price once imported in Canada?
I was referring to miles. If it's KM's on the bike in question then I would consider that to be low for a 06 bike.
Not sure what the Canadian average mileage / km's is but in the UK it's around 3000 miles per year.
Though I did 4500 in around 12 days riding to Marrakesh and back in 09 :D
I sold my R6 at 25,000 Miles or there abouts. I purchased my RF600 and that had 45,000 and the engine was still sound.
It all depends on the miles your going to do as well. I didn't have any big rides planned for the RF. It was just a weekend toy.
However on the R6 I had ridden it to Morocco...
Just sold this to a mate.
Having a clear out ready for the big move to Whitby area next month.
These pics were taken the day I purchased it last year.
