    Got my 2017 renewal paperwork, insurance going down again !! WOOT ...

    FYI if you up your accident benefits on a policy which includes both bike and car (same insurer), then you only pay it once for all vehicles. I confirmed this last time I chatted with All State.

    Storing (un-winterized) bike from mid March till April OK?

    It will be fine...just make sure to wash it well if you do ride when there is still salt on the roads (likely until about mid April if not a bit later). Also keep an eye on both tire pressure and chain lubrication. Also not sure if you are a new rider, but if so, waiting might be a good...

    Insurance for R6 if just got M? Is it financial suicide or not?

    Really depends on your age, postal code, and driving/riding history. Call around and see what people say, but honestly if you have zero accidents and zero tickets, are over 35 and have some riding history, I can't see it being that bad for you.

    Frame sliders and loctite

    I used blue loctite on mine...didn't use a lot, but used a little as an added safety precaution, especially given mine use the engine mount bolts (so lots of vibration in that area).

    Motorcycle Spring Show! Get your vitamin M!

    I wonder what the chances are of getting a Zumo 395LM with TPMS caps (combo) on sale during this one? Saw it for sale on GPScity's site, although the price is still a bit rich for my blood. If it were even offered at 10% off at the show, it'd be tempted to go and pick it up.

    Requesting Feedback on my channel trailer

    Expected another stupid motovlog, and was pleasantly surprised. Good job, and looks like it could be interesting compared to other channels out there. Only critique I'd have is to have added something to the end...seemed very professionally done overall, but the ending seemed a little more...

    Motorcycle paint in Canada

    ColorRite does have a Canadian distributor (or at least they did), based in Quebec...in the past I had ordered some touch up jars from them. Not sure if it still exists, but if it does it should be listed on the ColorRite site, and all you'd need to do is call or email them and let them know...

    Snapchat is one app that I'll never understand the point of...take a stupid picture and send it to a friend once ok, but what keeps people coming back? Even Twitter makes more sense than it...

    Rental bikes for M2 Exit?

    0% financing is a bit of a different story, but the main thing is a bike (to most here) is a toy/secondary vehicle, and one that can be written off in essentially a parking lot mishap. Although all situations are different, there are many these days that will finance something they can't afford...

    Who's still riding? (Fall 2016 / Winter 2017 edition)

    Personally, I think your last line sums it up, at least in my opinion. Riding is a lot about risk, and risk mitigation. There are already a ton of hazards out there for us, and I just don't see the point (personally) in taking on all the extra ones to ride in the winter, let alone on a day...

    Request for opinions on core downtown parking & recommendations

    That would be the spot next to your desk in the office...although work would like take issue with that one. lol Personally, I wouldn't ride to work and park on the street. Too many variables, plus there was a guy last year who had his bike taken from work (I believe it was a Ducati as well)...

    Waterless wash

    Waterless wash? Never, as that's a great way to mar the crap out of your paint. That said, there are rinseless wash products (no hose, just a wash mitt and bucket of special soapy water that doesn't leave residue/soap scum) that I've used on the car and bike countless times. Quick Easy Wash...

    Ready to ride---------->

    Keep in mind too although things like thicker gloves will keep your hands warmer, they are also typically bulkier, meaning it reduces you dexterity. I have winter/cold weather riding gloves but still put up with my summer gloves as long as I can, just to avoid having marshmellows for fingers.

    How long do I have after getting my M2 before I have to take M road test or....?

    One more thing to note for anyone going for their M1...at least when I did mine, there were two prices. The higher listed price was for both the M1 (and G1) written tests, as well as the M1 exit road test. If you tell them you are taking the course to get your M2, they should only charge you...

    Ready to ride---------->

    Most do allow at least 1 retest, so if someone fails they could always wait a few more weeks and try again. That said, if there is no penalty and there is still availability in May, that would be the safer month to take it. Actually looking back I got extremely lucky...I did mine the first...

    How long do I have after getting my M2 before I have to take M road test or....?

    No Course: - Write M1 - Pass M1 exit test and get M2 after 60-90 days, otherwise M1 expires in 90 days. - Pass M2 exit test and get M after 22 months, otherwise M2 expires in 5 years. Ready to ride---------->

    Toronto and Durham got more snow in March and April last year than it really did in the previous months of winter, iirc. I remember prepping the bike March 20th and then letting it sit for a few weeks. Then again, I tend to wait for both warmer weather and 1-2 days of good hard rain to clean...
